This Month's Kicker
My husband and I live in a part of California where it's important to have backup power. In October of this year, we had to replace our whole house generator at a cost of $8,000. Sounds high but not for the size of generator we have. I put it on a credit card with the lowest monthly interest rate and figured we would pull out some IRA money in 2021 to pay it off. I went to Harrah's Lake Tahoe, my Happy Place, to not think about it and for a break from Covid and politics. On election night, I hit the pictured Royal for $8,000! The credit card got $7,000; and my "gambling kicker" making it all possible got $1,000!
