Circus Circus 16 cent keno $97,000 Positive EV?

Post by adapterz »

Found this at Circus Circus. It was was a 8 bet at 2cent. I tried to do the calculations and it came out to something almost 150%, but i don't know if i calculated it correctly. I know it will probably take years or never to hit 10 out of 10. 1 out of 9 million shot, but just wondering what the EV odds were.Image

Sorry about the slow reply. For a non-progressive game, EV would be just under 90% (pay schedule 5/23/132/1000/4500/10000). The very rare 10-of-10 jackpot would pay $200 per coin bet, contributing 0.11% to EV.

If you're allowed to bet one coin only, the progressive would contribute 54% and total EV would approach 150% as you mentioned.

But if you're required to bet 8 coins, the progressive would only contribute 6.6% for a total of about 96.5%.

Hope that helps. I checked my math twice. :)

why the jackpot maxed out at 97000
seems like a strange number
