I recently talked to some gaming people(agents) about the very, very tight pay back on video Keno. Question: How can a Casino get away with(10 spot)-45 times a 4 hit(which pays )O---and 25 times a 3 or less? The chip I am told is set by State Gaming Board, Casinos and the mfg. This is BS we all know it's the Casino! Gaming(agents) say the pay back is 86%.. Bull S---. I play 5 times per week in various casinos here in Vegas and I have never even been close to 60%. Fix the chips and quit the lies!

Or play less numbers buddy. 10 spots are hard as hell to hit. 5 is way more manageable.

Playing a 10 with odds of over 8.9 M to one is a very long cycle..It takes about 5 cycles to get a real sample. You have played way fewer hands thus this is just a deviation from the average. Too small a sample size to be relevant. the chips are honest and the GCB can walk in to a casino unannounced at any time an ask to see and test a chip. Keep in mind that what has happened in the past has no influence on the future in video keno. If you have played 8.9M million hands and have not hit a SOLID 10 , the odds are still 8.9M to one on the next hand of hitting one. Also, research the Poisson distribution as there are many likely outcomes. You may go many cycles and never hit ( a cycle defined as avg number of plays to hit your numbers SOLID,all of them) all your numbers or you may hit them 4 or 5 times in a cycle.Recently the 9 spot Megakeno was hit twice by the same person in 5 games. Thus, the chips are honest but be aware of how probability works. Hope this helps.

Welcome to the world of gambling mathematics. Europa92118 provided an excellent explanation. The same thing happens in video poker, leading many players to believe the games are rigged. As you can see, one hand can make a huge difference. We have had players on this forum who have reported not hitting a royal in 10 years of play. Just the other day someone who plays double double bonus exclusively said she has never hit 4 aces with a kicker. We don't know how many hands they have played, but you can clearly see the effect it would have on a player's trust in the fairness of the games. The games are fair. Randomness is not.

I agree. It is a good line assuming he's referring that random luck is not equally distributed to players. With high variance games like 10-spot keno, individual results can go really wild without a huge, huge number of spins in a theoretically fair game.

random luck is never equally distributed so I assume that is what the reference is to.

if random luck was 100% equally distributed it would not be random!!

it does get closer to equal as the sample size gets larger however.
