Any decent casinos south of Tucson?

Post by billryan »

Might be moving to Bisbee and wondering if there are any decent casinos in Southern Arizona. I did not see any billboards for any.

I have only been to one once years ago to Desert Diamond Casino. Highlight was seeing Willie Nelson walking in the casino. As a newbie, didn't play much and was before I paid attention to paytables. It was off I-19 just south of Tucson and not on the route you take from Bisbee to Tucson. None close to Bisbee.

Thanks. Giving up all my free play will be hard, but the cost of living is much cheaper than Vegas. That's if you don't try to live in Old Bisbee.

A guy I worked with moved from a home overlooking the ocean in Santa Barbara to Bixbee years ago. It seems like a nice place to live. On my bucket list to visit. Unfortunately with my wife's illness, not sure if or when I will get there.

The mountains are beautiful, but as Old Bisbee is carved out of a side of one, walking can get challenging. The high school is four floors and each floor has a street level entrance. There are a number of golf cart shuttles that I think are free. Only one hotel in town has an elevator and most require you to climb stairs. The rest of the City is much less hilly. It's also over 5,000 feet above sea level so the air is much thinner.

Bill, are you really thinking of leaving Vegas? Trump might build that wall in your back yard just outside Bisbee. I always thought Vegas was a reasonable place to live cost wise. Bisbee will be cooler year round than Vegas.

Used to live in Sierra Vista. Went to Desert Diamond plenty of times. Not too bad. There are also a couple of other casinos nearby, Casino Del Sol and another I forget the name.

It's been a little over 2yrs since we left Az. Now we are stuck with Hardrock Tampa, another Indian casino.

But, we'll be on a junket to Laughlin in a couple of weeks. Last time we were there we won about $3K. Praying we can repeat.
