...they are a windfall for the casinos. Sticky buttons, buttons that don't respond unless you hit them hard, etc. These cause mistakes to be make. Complaining to the slot hosts in the Hardrock Tampa goes no where. I'm sure this also happens in a lot of other casinos.

Have you experienced this?

Hitting the service button on any malfunctioning machine will get you quick response from slot attendants at Hollywood-Lawrenceburg, IN. They open the machine and fix the problem to get you back to losing just as fast as they can.

Definitely! Have left many notes on machines with specific problem noted.
Have had mixed results with service techs.
Sometimes a fix, other times i have watched them open machine, sign the log book, close it up, and leave.

What can they really do on sticky buttons on 20 year old machines anyway? Also frustrated.

They can clean or replace buttons as required.
I play older Game King bar machines a lot.
More than one tech. that i talked to said new improved buttons (maybe sealed better) are available but no interest from Mgt. in going for them.
Only machine in the casino with $2 JOB has not been playable sine re-opening, along with 3 others of my 10-12 favorite machines.
I have complained to several slot operations managers,to my host, and the host supervisor, with no help.
There appears to be no interest in catering to VP players. Maybe it IS a malfunctions=profits thing.

Played an old Game King a few weeks ago with an unworkable deal button. Decided to try the machine again the other day. Button was fixed. Unfortunately, wish it wasn't fixed as I had no luck playing it.

Ha. I just grit my teeth and play some FP at Resorts (8/5 JOB!) and no play them. It is the oldest casino in town and it shows. They sure can park a nice 2021 Mercedes Benz in the lobby.
