I live in Orange county and have been playing in this part of the San Diego area for years.  I have not seen any positve expectation games at the quarter level at any of the casinos in this area.  I do not think the slot clubs give much cash back either.  Once upon a time I checked because I was considering increasing the denomination I play at but gave up when I realized that the best games out there and cash back did not equal +100%.   I have settled for 9/6DDB at the quarter level and play only at Pauma.  I played for many years at Pala and Pechanga and have no Royals to show for it.   Been playing at Pauma for several years and have 5 Royals and many Aces with kicker.  I hear Valley View is good but have not checked the pay schedules.  Harrahs has horrible schedules for quarter players, don't know about higher denom.
Mind you, I am not professional yet.  I play for enjoyment and exitement and luck, not for income.  You have to have it playing a 99% game.  Beats the hell out of 9/6 jacks that is still loser in the long run and boring to play.

   Thanx 2 Razuberii 4 the reply. Myfriends R going soon to Vlly View so I may just have 2 take an alternate route 2 Pauma B4 I go to Vlly View. SoCal gaming mostly consists of 9/5, 9/6 JOB, DB or DDB. Closest ur gonna get to FP on an Indian property. I once found 9/7 BP @ Pala but it was short lived. Good gaming 2U and thanx 4 the info.

          Went to check out Pauma on Sunday. Glorified tent similar to Soboba but smaller and more spread out. I almost got suckered into a Bonus Triple Play thinking it was FP 10/8/5/3/1/1 til you get to the upper end 4OAK 125 SF 175 and RF pays 1500 compared to 4000 on most for a RF.  Sneaky! otherwise, i liked it.

Good to see that no one here plays in Arizona.  They apparently have never heard of a positive play machine here...or if they have, they'd rather just keep scalping us instead. Guess they're really enjoying trying to even the score!

It looks like the Seminole Tribe in Florida is going to have class III machines as well as some table games, soon.  They apparently have agreed to pay the State of Florida 500 million over 5 years plus a percentage thereafter, in return for some kind of exclusive rights.

I think they claim to be the only Tribe never to have signed a peace accord with the United States and are still technically at war.  Perhaps the pay tables will be the payback we get for stealing their land.

Conducting field-testing of gaming devices to confirm that they operate and play in accordance with the manufacturer’s specifications and technical standards. The Commission is in the process of implementing a field inspection program to test gaming devices and a technical services program to develop the technical expertise to determine whether gaming devices are functioning appropriately and to ensure the public that gaming is conducted honestly and fairly;

I would expect the Gaming Board would work something like the Insurance commission....Run by the Indians just  like the insurance comm is run by reps from the insurance industry....Do not expect too much and you will not be dissapointed

Shadowman,I'd like to assure you that that testing has already been performed.  By me.  The gaming devices are functioning.  I have an opinion that Tribal casinos have set their video poker machines to "tight"..that is, what few vp machines remain in the casino.  More and more I see less and less video poker machines, especially in the San Diego and Palm Springs area.  Yesterday I went with my club to Agua Caliente in Palm Springs.  Very few vp machines left, being replaced with 5 cent, 2 cent and penny madness.  I finally found a multi-strike 4 play deuces wild game that I liked and it seemed to like me back for awhile.  And, yes, we go because we love video poker and can't always get to Vegas.  Besides, a little scalping every once in awhile probably won't hurt.
