Got comp rooms at MGM in June. Never stayed there. Anyone have any comments on MGM? Good VP? Nice rooms? Food?

We have stayed there many times and we think it is a great property. Plenty of food choices, we enjoy Puck's, comfortable beds, clean rooms and a huge casino. Terrible pay tables but overall a great place to stay.

Oh, forgot to mention; on our last trip there I was playing $1 multi strike, double double bonus and hit 4 aces at the 4X level for a sweet $3,200 hand pay, no kicker. Ten minutes later was playing $1 ddb triple play and was dealt 4 jacks for a $750 pot. Almost 4 grand in ten minutes, needless to say, I was done for the day.

Thanks vpguy! Glad it has comfortable beds. (I stayed at Hooters before and their beds can't be beat. Wonderful!) Why do you say pay tables are terrible?

Friends stayed there..only down part they mentioned is it huge..walk for miles to get nowhere.

It is very big, but then so are most of the strip casinos. MGM is just a little bigger. I haven't stayed there in many, many years but I agree that the rooms were nice (probably still are).
You also have convenient access to the monorail so you get around without having to walk the entire strip.
I've heard the VP has gone downhill since the last time I stayed there. You may want to check the vpfree2 database to see if anything reasonable is available.
