They red rock is the place to play but its off the strip, if its still open.
On the strip I have had luck at the Paris and Harrahs. And whatever you do don't play at the Excaliber or Luxor.
For downtown vegas the Golden Nugget has 100.09% DB poker progressive.

sheila72,
Welcome to the forum.
Check out the link to VPfree which is a data base for (non-Indian) casinos in the US/Canada.

Go to "Casinos" to find their best offerings.
Go to "Games" to find machines.

Sheila, you are not going to get great pay tables anywhere on the strip, but Harrah's and Caesars has a pretty broad selection of VP games. Good Luck..

EDog, I stayed at PH on a trip last year. There was ONE bank of multi-line VP Progressive that was good, but on my latest trip to Vegas, I saw that they took it out. I don't know what $ level you play at, but for the most part, only High Limit had any VP games worth playing. I think Paris is right next door, and has a lot more VP available, in my opinion.
I do, however, 'force' myself to play some table games in the evening at PH, only because of the 'pole girls'

That's true billyjoe, they changed the paytables on that bank near the pole dancer pit. If you like Supertimes Pay there are still some 9/5 DDB STP games, but those are the best on the main floor, otherwise you need to play in the high-limit room. I don't agree about Paris/Ballys, I think the video poker there is as paltry as Planet Hollywood and the rest of Caesars/Harrahs now. If you want some decent pay tables on the strip within walking distance to PH go to Casino Royale. It's a small, older place on the same side of the street right before The Venetian. Casino Royale has 9/6 DDB and 9/6 JOB all over the casino for quarters, maybe even lower denoms and multi-plays. There are even some 9/7 TDB if you look close at the multi-hand games. Also liberal cash back. Good luck.

And whatever you do don't play at the Excaliber or Luxor.
Can you elaborate on this? Are you referring to VP? I've won a lot of money at both of these casinos.

Yes I am talking VP. And its just a personal expierence so take it for what its worth. But I have been to both and have pumped thousands of dollars through the machines with nothing on each occasion. And I find the Excaliber to be very trashy and the Luxor to be self absorbed. Just my .02 I am sure they have made other people millionaires.
