Everybody likes to hear and receive a thank you and many hosts work lots of hours to be at our beck and call. We received lots of special help as a result of treating them like friends.

I always use my host, and beat him like a rented mule to get everything that I have earned from my play.
Hey careful how you treat those mules!

We've always found that a note of thanks, an occasional gift card and a follow up letter thanking the host for their efforts on our behalf with a cc: to the director of player development has led to even more assistance.
You are right, Larry (I was just kiddin' Mule, sorry ). My experience has been that you have to 'train' your host as to what works for you. Everyone is different. But as Larry said, if you get a good one, find out his bosses' EMail address, and shower your host with praise.
