If your wife did $100 coin in on slots (100 points), you did $50,000 coin in on VP (10,000 hands of $1 denomination)? I think that should bring in a much better offer.

If it is more like $10 coin in to $5000 coin in on VP, your offers are more reasonable (that is about what I received for $3000-4000 coin in of VP). But at $10 coin in slots, it is not near enough to get into Producer that requires 30,000 tier points.

I went through more than that because I had earned over 25,000 points on my card that weekend. I have been maintaining Icon for over a year and when I hit my 400K I play on my wifes card and get hers up to Producer. Who knows, maybe my mailer got lost in the mail

There is a small chance of that. Cosmo got my g/f's email wrong, and they never sent paper mailers to us...but I got base level emails, she didn't.

If you did $75k coin-in, I would definitely contact someone.

I did not catch the part that the M Resort was not your main casino within Penn National Gaming. Thus the ICON status was achieved outside of the M Resort

Yes, anyone at the Executive Producer or ICON level should be directly dealing with the casinos hosts they've been assigned to rather than the front desk / hotel representatives. Sometimes they'll be able to provide a stay greater than the mailer value.

The food and free play offers are based on play at the particular casino, just that the card benefits are system wide. It explains the low amount of free play, since M Resort is ADT based and you played the best possible game which is marked for lowest theoretical. Either way, the system wide benefit will upgrade the rooms as part of Marquee rewards.

I think the 25-13-4-3-3-1-1 Bonus Deuces Wild will provide the best theoretical out of the video poker games available based on what I saw from DougJ.

Well, here we are at the M, enjoying the spectacular view of Las Vegas. There's not much else to do, as they initiated a major upgrade to their players club/slot system last night at 11:00 pm. It was supposed to be completed by this morning, but, surprise, surprise, it's not done yet.

Without the system, there is no recording of play, and therefore no cash back, no earning of buffets, and every cash out must be a hand pay. Therefore, no play.

We hope its fixed soon!

Really sorry to hear about that OMT, I've experienced something similar in the past and did not want to play without receiving any points. Hope they get it right soon.

I was wondering if you can find out if it is $3 or $4 coin in per tier point on video point. Also would be good to know which banks are excluded from the 2x points promotion.

I put those two questions to a player's services rep.

She is unaware of any machines that are actually excluded from the 2x promotion. She offered that the statement suggesting some might be excluded is a standard "just in case" disclaimer.

With regard to coin in to earn a tier point, she did not hesitate or waver - it is $3 per point.

Thank you very much OMT for asking the service representatives with those questions. Double points or not, I still feel the M Resort provides good value with their borderline 99% games with the base 0.3% cashback with a high chance of a gift giveaway and the free buffet offer. On a recent episode of Gambling With An Edge, Mr. Dancer does mention that the mailers from the M Resort are generally better than the Southpoint.

Hope that the Southpoint about 1 to 1.5 kilometers away served you well while the systems were down at the M Resort, I did lurk on VegasMessageBoards and saw a few people having issues including cashing out $3.25 which took more than half an hour to hand pay. It is a lot of action for quarter players ($2000 coin in) to spin the wheel once during the SouthPoint promotion.

I know your thread on the video poker stories got hijacked for various reasons, but I did spot that you were unaware of such promotions going on at the SouthPoint Casino. To provide you some useful information in return for asking the M Resort representative on my behalf.

When planning on making trips to Vegas, look on Google for "Scot Krause Vegas Value Report". The first result should be the link below which is on the reputable American Casino Guide website.

http://www.americancasinoguide.com/vegas-values.html

They will list most promotions that are going on, particularly the Southpoint is always listed as well as Boyd properties. Hope this will give you insight on which casinos to drop by on any possible future trips.

Thank you for the tip on using Scot Krause's Vegas Value Report. One of the problems in using it is the fact that it doesn't look two to three months ahead, which is our normal lead time for planning a trip. We put our January trip together in mid November. We will, nevertheless, look at what's in the Report when we plan our next trip.

We were fully prepared to request that they shuttle us to the South Point if the system wasn't functional on Thursday. It was partially up and running Thursday morning, so we did play at the M. Our play was recorded OK, but since the kiosks weren't back in operation, we couldn't activate our double points. Instead, we went to Players Services at the end of the day, they manually recorded our play for the day, and sent it off to casino marketing to adjust our points. The "adjustment" had not appeared on our accounts prior to our leaving on Saturday. Nor, for that matter, had our double points for Friday. I hope they are true to their word on all this, and award us the additional points.

Going to South Point on Thursday if the M's system was not back up to the point where we could play there, would likely have been a disaster. Donald Trump was there, and apparently the place was an absolute zoo.
