Though it is under the Favorite Casinos subforum, the review does not sound too positive. I suppose we need a general casino talk section where a place may not be someone's favorite or have the best games available. Regardless, thanks for sharing.

I saw the promotions on the Harrah's Metropolis website and for the Tuesdays, it is only required to have 100 points ($1000 coin in for VP) for the steak addon. 400 points of VP ($4000 coin in) would normally provide just 4 dollars is resort credits.

Hollywood STL does seem to be a good place to play out of all the locations from Penn National Gaming. I have not heard much good thing about the midwest properties from Boyd at Blue Chip, but in the 7 Boyd Vegas properties, the video poker is outstanding for low rollers. I heard rumors about when you start winning, you will quickly wear out your welcome.

A good 3 Card Poker game will pay 4 for 1 on a 3 card flush on the Pair Plus bonus bet as opposed to 3 for 1 which is mostly what Vegas offers.

Caesars is in a big financial mess, but to get out of this mess, they've chosen to approach it by tightening the slots and video poker, as well as table games 6/5 Blackjack. The players definitely do not like this from what I see.

Now I have been duly castigated for daring to post a comment under a subform which you figure I was not supposed to do. Also, you had to point out it was 100 points, not 400..well, the lady at the slot club misquoted the amount I needed, so really not my fault. What my fault is, it to post on this forum (which I used to do with regularity) with people who feel they are the forum police. I will post what I want, when I want and if webman says I can't, I won't do it. If you don't like the post, ignore it. I was trying to point out only my experience with Caesars, that I have been a member of for years and years, and the dissatisfaction with how they have gone astray. I did say I liked Hollywood, so if that meets with your approval, I wont delete it. Chill.
what a great post! it was not long ago i posted similar comments about those who just cannot wait to point out how one played the wrong machine, made the wrong play or dared to state something that goes against the math. it is the same folks over and over, and they want to appear to offer help when they are just trying to impress one another. i really get a kick out of all the posts about the benefits of nevada. everyone knows the paytables are better. but no one can guarantee how a low roller recreational player like myself, can justify the hundreds of dollars of travel expense and the time required to fly accross the country to gain an extra 1-2% advantage, will actually pay for itself.

Thank you notes. It just bent me out of shape that someone had to point out that my post was on the wrong site...then has to correct me about the points needed to get the buffet. I don't think it was necessary to point out that my post was in the wrong place..just read the post or don't read it..don't critique it. I have been a member here for many years but my posts are few because they are either ignored, or the subject changes to run far afield of what I was saying in the first place. I just wanted to alert people to the casino at Metropolis. It used to be my favorite, and I had won many royals several years ago, then those machines were pulled out to be replaced with really tough ones. I quit going. I just wanted to see if they were any better. I pointed out it was a prettier casino now and the comps were good, but as so many of the Caesar's casinos have gone, they were in the dumper.

The Metropolis casino is horrible. The only thing going for it is that it's non-smoking.
