There was recently a news article, can't remember the source, about how terribly under performing Resorts World Catskills is compared to there projections. Makes it easier to be suspicious. Add in I don't trust anything in NY. Especially when they are in Bed with the Government.
On the plus side the new machines are very nice and the chairs are comfortable.

You would think they would take some cues from other casino operations to attract patrons and keep them. I mean they are trying to "steal" you away from their competitors. But like most in NY it's "We'll do it our way and you'll like it" it seems. It surprises me how much the parking bothers me. I must be getting old, lol. We will see if they send me any comps/offers now that I played. I have not received any emails from them yet. This surprises me because other casino's at least sent me a welcoming email within minutes of me signing up for a card or just visiting there website. I have not given up on them just yet. Just bitter I suppose.
Oh I almost forgot the stupid round about's when you leave and make your way back to the highway. I can see many accidents with people frantically driving in circles as their navigation systems lose it and smoke begins to bellow out of their dashboards.

I really need to stick to the plan FAA mentioned in the other thread. Save my BR and take it to AC.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------I dispense so much wisdom that I cannot recall that specific advice! Harrah's has been such a disaster that I cannot even consider playing for at least five more months. I'm sure that I'll relent in the dog days of August. I was nearing a triple digit bust on Sunday at Caesars when I got quad eight for $125, enough for a break even escape. Hard to exceed 50 TC and go positive. I got 49 TC.

Just to be on the safe side, avoid any game with Bonus in the title. Substitute a g for the n.

Did very well on the dollar All Americans at Caesars AC when they were there. Couldn't figure out why they had them, but knew they wouldn't last.

I don't see how an expensive casino in Monticello NY is going to make it. They are gonna have to pull a lot of people from the wealthy NYC suburbs. A pretty economically depressed area.

You touch upon a very valid subject....why on Earth do governments at the state and local levels keep building more and more casinos ( in the seemingly most disadvantageous locations) when there is already so much evidence that the USA domestic gambling market is saturated, both from brick and mortar casinos and online???

The answer.....: Cognitive dissonance combined with local bribery of officials (disguised as donations, and jobs following leaving public office), and general voter apathy and stupidity....all seasoned and held together with good old reliable GREED.

This is one of the reasons for my skepticism about the integrity of certain casino markets....the old adage " they don't need to cheat" used to be true...but the more the market is saturated and the more casinos there are fighting over a pie that isn't big enough or growing fast enough.....
