New casino to be built at Fort McDowell

Post by OTABILL »

Hope they connect the non-smoking bingo room to the non-smoking VP/Slot area in the new casino and improve the VP choices therein.

That is the good thing about Canada in that all the casinos are smoke free.

Casinos being built today understand the smoke issue. Perhaps you will get lucky in the new build.

Illinois casinos have been entirely smoke free for about 10 years and their doors are still open.

Thanks. Arizona casinos are on native american land and under tribal jurisdiction. Hopefully, they will accommodate us and other non-smokers.

If they went smoke free then they would lose a major profit center, their in house smoke shop.

No way they would go smoke free voluntarily. Just an idle muse. However it would be nice if the new casino layout better accommodates non-smokers by putting the non-smoking components contiguous to each other and upgrading the quality of VP/slots. Keep areas where smoking is permitted as is.

To this day, I'm still in awe with how the Mirage in the early thru mid 1990s in Vegas, was able to both allow all the smokers in Vegas to frequent their initial groundbreaking innovative resort when it opened, while simultaneously appealing to and actively grabbing all the non smoking market 1990-1995, with that awesome air filtration system they had!!! The air back then was always so nice and fresh!

You could close your eyes and know you were in the Mirage just from the tropical smell.I remember every large casino having a distinct smell. Haven't been out to LV in years though.
