Well our Biloxi trip was interesting. Got 4 days comped at the GN. Played in GN, Boomtown, Palace, Harrahs and IP. Hit 2 Royals in GN playing .25 Deuces Joker Poker. Hit another Royal at Boomtown playing TDBP. Hit 4 A/w kicker at GN playing TDBP. So overall, the GN was the most productive.
And to top it off, they have to have the best bacon in town in their breakfast buffet! Non-greasy and perfectly crispy. We would defiantly go back, however 4 days is a little too much. We were pretty much videopoker'ed out by mid 4th day.

Unlike the bacon, it seems that your trip was well done. Congrats.

I have not been to Biloxi in over thirty years, but I recall there were a lot of pretty kool places if one were looking for fun, or trouble, or both. I'm not sure the casinos were there. If they were ,we didn't hit any.

Biloxi is a fun place to visit. If all you want is positive VP, save your money and play in Vegas. If you are looking for other things besides gambling, there are many great choices.

The key is not to burn yourself out. Four days of solid VP is too much. We have played as long as a week and it becomes a drag. These days we limit our VP to no more than 4 hours a day. I usually play in the morning when it's quiet and again in the evening. During the day we walk around and see the sights. We walk in and out of a lot of casinos where we don't play.

No matter what the odds, you can pretty much predict what will happen in advance. Hit a royal and you will come home a winner or at least break even. Don't hit one or hit less of the smaller jackpots and you will leave money in the casino. You don't need an advanced math degree to figure this out.

So why should playing VP be so different between casinos? I understand the optimally you want to play a a machine that is 9/6, but other than that, the odds of catching a Royal are the same for every machine, right? Is it just stretching your money with the better payoffs in search of that Royal?
