We are planning a road trip to the Northwest this summer. Are there any casinos in Washington State or Montana that offer class III video poker?

Not sure about Montana, but Washington is Class 2 and weird based on the one casino I visited. I played a little there ($20 I think) to see what it was like. Then saved my bankroll for my next trip to vegas that was coming up. I spent maybe 15 minutes in the casino, then had to get out of there. I had signed up for the slot club and played exactly enough on my 20 to earn a free ferry ride. I think I broke even on the bankroll cash-wise, so I could guess I could call that a winning trip? But there was just no appeal for me. The casino itself was small and almost nothing but slots. One bank of the vp game in the very back. They did have live bingo. I don't recall which casino it was but I could look it up. The rooms and facility were great though, better than most of the hotels in the area we were staying at a good price. Spent time in the hot tub instead of the casino.

Some of the bigger casinos might be better as far as the playing environment, but I'm pretty sure they are all class 2. Really, it's just gambling for slot machine lovers as far as I can tell. There were plenty of them... it was crowded on the weekend.

Like all Class II Machines the representation on the screen is for entertainment only. It's a Bingo Game, 75 numbers.

Montana has a lot of Class III games in bars. No idea about typical paybacks.

Washington is "virtual scratchoff" tickets (not technically bingo, but same idea), so avoid VP in Washington state as payables mean nothing.

We visited Washington State some years back. All we found were Class II machines. I thought they may have upgraded by now? I guess not.

All Washington State compacts (agreements) between tribal casinos and the state only permit Class II gaming - as mentioned earlier any video poker machines are Bingo in disguise - absolutely no skill involved. If you want Vegas (Class III equivalent) gaming you need to head North to British Columbia, Canada or South to Oregon.
