Besides the many options at South Point, are there any DSTP, STP, UX, QQ, Hot Roll, or Dream Card machines that are only one notch below full pay at places like Sam's Town, Boulder Station, Sunset Station, GVR, Skyline, Joker's Wild, or any other place on the Boulder strip or in Henderson? Thanks in advance for any leads.

Emerald Island has some good pay schedules on the All Star machines, although I'm not sure specifically about the STP or UX tabs. They advertise as a penny casino, and on most machines you can wager as low as pennies without any pay schedule reductions.

Not much slot club value. Comps only, and the All Stars are excluded from multipliers.

Sam's Town had STP for one notch below full pay at the quarter level as well as Extra Draw Frenzy.

Thanks Dinghy, for the info on the All Star machines at Emerald Island. It was packed on a Sunday night, but I got a little play on UX and made a little scratch.

I also played a little 9/5 DDB STP for quarters at Skyline.

And, of course, South Point is simply Mecca for full pay carney VP. It was fun playing STP, DSTP, and Quick Quads with full pay tables.

Excellent! Emerald Island is probably enjoying the lack of competition. The two other casinos next door are both closed, as is Fiesta Henderson. Rainbow Club was reported to be reopening today, but I don't know for sure that it's on schedule. It was bought by the Emerald Island owners, Tim Brooks and his brother.

South Point does have an impressive game selection, but I'm not comfortable playing those extra-coin gimmick games for quarters. Dropping below 25c, they hit you hard on the pay schedules. I think SP has machines with 9/6 Jacks for 25c, but 6/5 for 10c or lower.

The Rainbow Club website now says the "Expected Opening Date" is September 17th.

Palace Station in Las Vegas prides itself as a "Locals" casino. We have found that casinos off the strip are a lot looser. Even if you are not lucky enough to hit a Jackpot, it sure seems that you can play a lot longer for your money. Palace Station has become one of our favorites!

Palace Station is fun, but I thought it was better before they remodeled and prettied up a couple of years ago.

Good pay tables under quarters are tough to find. I enjoy playing single line STP and DSTP for quarters, but all of the gimmick games get real expensive for quarters at 3 hands per pull or more. El Cortez has nickel and dime Ultimate X in the 9/5 DDB flavor.

Thanks! I looked earlier and only saw "Under construction."

If you like Palace, you would probably also enjoy other Stations properties such as Red Rock and GVR. As I've noticed, they don't seem to vary their vp game offerings very much from one place to another.
