Horseshoe Bossier City, LA Isn't One

Post by noraroyal »

Living in "No Casinos" Texas, going to a casino is a big deal. The nearest big ones are two and a half hours away. But after being a VP member for a few months, I've learned a few good tips and couldn't wait to try out my new knowledge, so I made the drive to Caesar's Horseshoe Casino in Bossier City, LA. Horseshoe used to be my favorite in the Shreveport-Bossier City area. No longer.

They've turned heavily to progressives, and penny and dollar and up slots. They have a designated video poker section on the bottom level and a few more scattered here and there. Many of their video poker machines don't work. Either the card reader doesn't work or the buttons don't work. They've turned off the multi-game feature on quite a few machines and offer only one game on the machine. I'm a JOB player and found it difficult to find a good working machine not occupied.

I also found a few Keno machines by the 3rd level kitchen behind the poker room, but never figured out how to erase the old numbers to start a new game. The "erase" and "quick pick" buttons were grayed out and nothing I tried worked. If any of you have a favorite place to play VP in this area, please let me know. I won't be going back to Horseshoe.

Check Lucky Larry's posts. He lives in Texas and has posted about numerous casinos in LA and OK. Hopefully he will see your post and comment.
