Making the LAS trip in early Feb and looking for 5 and 10 cent VP. Unfortunately have to be frugal this time so any input would be greatly appreciated. With the forums help maybe I can win enough to move up to the big boy denominations. Thanks in advance for your input.

Are you renting a car? We rented a car and it was alot funner than riding the duce to poor pay tables. I recomend Texas station, Red Rock, Alainte, Sams town, Cannery for lower tables. I play $.25 mainly but was pushed into nickles due to a bad slide back in Nov. I ended up hitting a royal at Texas. They have full pay DB 10/7 in nickles denom. Unheard of here in NW Indiana.

We have not rented a car in Vegas for years. We used to fly into Phoenix, rent a car, spend a few nights at Laughlin and then on to Vegas, and even Yosemite. In Vegas, our car remained in the parking lot for the duration of our stay. Now we just fly into Vegas.
On this past trip, we caught shuttles from the airport to Paris, Bill's to Orleans and Gold Coast and walked over to Palms, Harrah's to Rio and from Fashion Show mall to Red Rock. I rode a tram from ARIA, past Crystals, to Bellagio. We did catch cabs from Paris to Venetian, Venetian to LV Hilton and also back to the airport.
One can ride the Deuce for 24 hours for $7 (previously $5 and that is still  a good deal!) The monorail is in bankruptcy but still keeping hours. That fee per ride is now $5 up from $3. on our last trip. There are also free shuttles to Palms, GVR, South Point, M, Station, Silverton and more.
Log on to Las Vegas free shuttles.

I guess if you dont mind schedules for these shuttles and such. I like the car because I can come and go as I please. I used to shuttle from Strip to Sams town and seemed like everytime that I finally was doing good................time to get the shuttle. With a car, you have alot of freedom.  The car ran me 35$ for 3 days, plus the gas  I used. Thats the price I have paid before for 1 cab ride before to an off strip casino. Besides that, them cabies are INSANE drivers. You get the nascar experience when you catch a cab in Vegas.

It's a matter of preference. You have a valid point re cab drivers. Our cab driver to the airport did not know where Spirit was located. He drove way past it. I asked another cab driver and our cab driver looked it up in his manual as well. We exited the cab and schlepped our luggage from the far end to the beginning where Spirit was located. Once, our cab driver passed on an express way on the RIGHT SHOULDER in his haste to get us to the airport and on to another fare. OTOH, I feel you take your life in your hands trying to drive in Vegas! People drive there from all parts of the world unfamiliar with local traffic regulations. Many are just becoming adjusted to an unfamiliar rental car. People of all ages, in all stages of alertness from exhausted, angry about losing, or under substance abuse or on meds can be seen in Vegas. We know people who have had fender benders in Vegas and have seen a few accidents. Pedestrians get bumped by vehicles all too often in Vegas. IMHO, driving in Vegas is more treacherous than most other areas! Many shuttles are running continuously during normal hours or about every twenty minutes. Shuttles work for us and walking has not hurt us yet.

Good points indeed. They do drive a little crazy. I frequent Chicago and if you can drive there, you can drive anywhere. Youre right, theres probably some roadrage due to losses and desperation ,dui's. I stayed at Mandalay last time and did most gaming in Boulder, N.vegas. I dont go to the strip except to site see(walking) or after a rough day at DB. Done it too many times. We did go down town with the car and that wasnt as bad as I thought. You park at Main Street. They charge $3 for parking that is redeamable at rewards center. Nothing wrong with shuttles, it was my first car rental down there. You definetly dont need to rent a car in vegas.

Both of these links will provide you fairly accurate Vp games, paytables and casino. Depends mostly on your casino preference and your willingness to travel to get to them.

Lot's of low denom VP in Vegas if you have a car. There's a little locals casino called Skyline that has lots of full pay deuces and bonus games. The Fiestas, Stations and Sam's Town (Boyds) have some as well. Downtown has a good variety.

LOTS AND LOTS OF .05 VP AT PALMS AND RR.
IN MY OPINION, PALMS HAS MORE VP MACHINES THAN I HAVE SEEN ANYWHERE.
