Has anyone been to Cherokee Harrah's in NC?  I'm going next week and was wondering what the best VP games they have there, where they might be located, etc.  Any info would be helpful.
Thank you

I have only been once and have made no effort to ever return. Indian casino, captive audience, non-competitive games, no gaming commission enforcement, and the strongest drink served in the place is Dr. Pepper (dry county). Sucker's paradise.

I was there in 2000 and rascal's response accurately describes my experience. I played Shamrock Sevens VP and it seemed like the best of a bad lot. It's a variation of Joker Poker with a bonus tied to getting 3 or more sevens.

I go to Cherokee often and play video poker.  When you enter the casino, there are several very large video poker machines.  The one on the right really plays off.  Alot of the video poker machines are designated to play one poker game.  I like to find a machine that has all the games on it so I can change if I want to.

My last Royal (.50)  was at Cherokee, same trip $1 deuces. Nice rooms, great Cream Puff. Rascal don't you take a traveler?

Do you remember even approximately what the pay schedule looked like?

it's not to good if you don't get the little man for the pot of gold,it will break you holding one 7 trying for the bonus.i have seen people toss a 4 card st. flush draw and hold one 7

RF - 1000
WRF - 1000
5K - 2500
SF - 250
4K - 70
FH - 40
FL - 25
ST - 15
3K - 5
P2 - 5

The key is a bonus round whenever 3 or more 7s appear. I estimated the bonus is worth about 60 extra credits on average for 3K,FH and 4K. I programmed this into vpfreebie and could play pretty even so I expect the game is fairly close to 100%. Of course, my short exposure could be way off with this estimate. Maybe booger can give us a better estimate.

We use to come to Cherokee for years before we moved into the area two years ago.  My husband and I work at Harrahs and believe me there is gaming commission enforcement.  It is a dry county but not everyone likes to sit and drink alcohol while they play.  Therefore, everyone has a good time without fear of trouble - or drunks falling in your lap.  Shamrock 7's is a really good game and as they say, when you bet big, you win big.  When you roll the right pot you can triple your credits.  Keno is one of my favorites and pays pretty well.  Lovin-the-mountains.
