OTABILL,
The host turnover seems to be a big issue at RR. Our favorite, an old-time type host, was released just before our last trip. Since then we've been contacted by/assigned to 4 other hosts who have contacted us offering their services. Our mail-out last week and offer was included in the latest host's introduction letter.

Larry. Our offers don't come from a host although my wife got an introductory letter from a new hostess not that long ago. For awhile each of us had a different host/hostess. BTW, the first host who originally contacted us was from GVR. We recently heard from him again. He told us he had moved on to another, non-station, casino.

My guess is that a host's "list of contacts" is probably their most valuable resource. We've had the same thing happen on several occasions when hosts moved from casino to casino. Have you enjoyed having two different hosts? There may be an advantage to having twice the contacts with the turnover.

Larry, not really. When we have used the host, one took care of both of us. All by phone. What is nice is that when we both get identical offers, i.e. 2 or 3 comped nights, if requested, they will make the comps consecutive. We don't go very often and only once met any of the hosts and that was purely by accident. I would assume it would be different if we went frequently. We play mostly locally here in Arizona and apparently don't play enough to warrant a host.

I usually make it a point to visit Red Rock on every trip, check the promotions before choosing the day since point multipliers apply on certain days. I rent a car in every trip to Vegas so if you need to take cab it would more than likely cost $45-$55 fare each way based on the route. There are lots of VP choices and they generally have the newer games we play in this site before everyone else.

I'm not sure. Never went there, but for some reason I do really well at Circus Circus. My kids spend more money in the amusement park then I do gambling

Right when you walk into the casino at the entrance by the buffet there is a bank of full pay machines 10/6. I usually have good luck on these machines.

I was wondering if that is the only game you play at the Stations casinos. The Chairman tier on the Boarding Pass (for 300,000 points every 6 months) for quarters is a ton of play when those machines are rated partially in terms of points accrual. Of course you will not care for any mailers/offers.

Hi alpax - When I play 10/6 machines which requires $12 of play for either 3 or 4 points I do not even use my card. I find it more annoying after playing an hour and only earning 100 points (if that). My host at Fiesta asked me the other night "where's your card?" My reply was "In my back pocket." His response was "you wont earn any points like that" My reply was "not much difference." I quite often play 9/5 machines using my card.

I appreciate the reply! I was reading up on the Boarding Pass program and it seemed like $1 play earns 3 points (no need to swipe on the kiosk for Chairman tier) for the sub-100% games and a very small fraction for the 100% games. It would require $1.2 million coin in every 6 months playing just 100% games to get the 300k points for chairman. For quarters. I was wondering if that was even humanly possible to play a million hands within 6 months, or if the casino will allow one to play that much. I know 9/5 DDB non-progressive is 97.87% played optimally, probably you would need to mix some of that in to get to Chairman easier and perhaps to get mailers.
