I heard from the VPFree forums as well as the Frugal Vegas Jean $¢ott blog, that if you are an actual winner from the station casinos or played the up to 99.8% payout games extensively, you will be no-mailed.

Even getting a W2G royal flush payout can put you on the no-mailed list. So no one walks out a total winner in the long run.

Hopefully we will have a chance to test this out the next time we visit Vegas.

Good luck to you and your spouse. Hopefully they will have the 10x points promo during the time you are there. Let the mailers continue as well despite the alibis from Vegas locals.

Some other posters have mentioned how nice Red Rock is and I agree. The few times I've played there I haven't found too much success but came out ahead courtesy of a couple nice hands.

I've received quite a few free room mailers but not too many offers of casino cash. I'm heading to Las Vegas in August and Red Rock is on my list of places to play.

Good luck to you when you go.

To get more value out of your stay at Red Rock or any other Stations casino. You can play the myVegas to redeem restaurant coupons or a free round of bowling.

Alpax, Ted: Thanks for wishing us good luck. Not sure when we are going, but the offers continue. Last one was to try out new slot machines. Three nights comped rooms.

Its been 4 years since we were out at Red Rock and we have won or broken even on most trips (7-8 trips) and we last week got a mailer like for 3 nights. While we used to get nice cash offers they no longer provide much offer wise but I'm not surprised with our non-estistent play over the past few years.

Otabill good luck when you head out there.

Side note: The Red Rock/Green Valley and the other Station Casinos were founded by the Anthony Fertitta family. The Golden Nugget Casinos are owned and operated by their cousin Tilman Fertitta of Houston/Galveston. The two brothers (Vic and Anthony) and their dad ran the old Galveston Balinese Room which offered gambling in the 20-30's when ran by the mobster Maceo brothers. The Balinese Room hosted Sinatra, Peggy Lee, Bob Hope and the Marxx Brothers and all the key entertainers. Vic and Anthony's restaurants are named after the Uncles.

Thanks Larry. Funny though, we played there once for about 5 hours and 2 1/2 years later the offers for comped rooms to both of us began arriving. They were originally for two nights but they agreed to combine ours and give us three nights as we requested.

Remember a few years ago there was a short lived television show about the brothers and when they bought The Golden Nugget in Las Vegas. The show centered around how the brothers wanted to bring back old school Las Vegas.

Reminds me of the short-lived cable series, American Casino which was filmed at Green Valley Ranch. Series ended when the employee they focused on committed suicide.
