Blue Chip Casino

Post by patlives »

Big family trip to Chicago next week, we are actually staying near the Blue Chip in Indiana. I think a group of us may sneak away for some video poker at least one night!! I see the Airport deuces on VPfree, is that the best they have? I was hoping for decent pay tables on some carnival or gimmick games!! Vman and Ted I know you guys are in that area quite a bit, thanks for any help!!

Yes, unfortunately, that's the best they've offered since about August of 2013. They used to have 9/6 JoB w/STP (99.82%) for quarters. God, I loved that... Now the best they have for that is 9/5 JoB w/STP for quarters (98.72%) (only one line needed to be played...see below). All other games available are also short pay. 9/5 DDB (98.14%), 20/12/10/4/4/3 Deuces (97.85%), and 9/6/5 DB (98.08%).

The 7/5 Bonus progressive machines sometimes have Royal Flushes at $1500+ which would be better than Airport Deuces in terms of return. Also, on the new game kings in the back left corner, there is 7/5 Super Aces (98.85%) for as cheap as quarters (I guess I didn't add that...oops). The best paying single line game. The dollar single airport deuces are gone. But the multiline quarter games were still there last I checked (~March). I probably should update them...bah, I'm so lazy with VPFree2.

If you are a real low roller, they have 7/5 Bonus w/STP (98.29%) for as cheap as nickels. It's on a 25 play game near the front of the casino, but only one line is needed to be played to bet 6 nickels if you use the touch screen.

Oh and DreamCard or Quick Quads at Blue Chip is a joke there. Better off driving to Four Winds for that...that is a nice casino for sure.

I can't be of much help here because it's been a while since I walked into Blue Chip so I would have to say that Vman is more on top of their video poker offerings than I am. When I was there I didn't play any of their gimmick games (but wasn't really looking for them either) and I stuck to DDB in quarter denomination.

I also agree that Four Winds (just 15 minutes from Blue Chip) is a nicer property than Blue Chip.

Got crushed, lost 800 on the triple play deuces for .50 and stp ddb for .25. Not a bad place, if I ever get back that way I will check out the other place. Thank you guys for your info and help!!

Yep, too bad your luck wasn't better. I've only hit 1 royal at Blue Chip over the years but that means I've only been there about 12 times.

If you do go to Four Winds, the hotel rooms are very nice and comfortable. A bit pricey though if you don't have a comp for it. There is a chain hotel about 1 mile from Four Winds but I understand it's usually booked up. The chain hotel is located right on I-94 so this may be the reason why it's always booked. Also Four Winds is B I G so comfortable clothes and shoes are a plus. Cell service inside the casino is also hit and miss...
