I have been searching for a full pay video poker machine for years. I can't know everyone's comps status, so I have to go strictly by the odds. The only positive games I have seen are at the Red Rock Casino in Vegas. They are clearly labeled. They are all quarter games. I wasn't able to find any at South Point, but I didn't look hard. I am sure they have a few as well.

Florida VP attracts a different clientele. Most of the players are retirees and tourists. The retirees want to play a long time with their money and the tourists look to hit big as part of their vacation. The high limit room is a luxury suite, not a home for professional players. The closest thing to a positive game I have seen is triple play 9/6 jacks or better in dollars. That machine was recently downgraded to 8/5.

We have our share of high rollers. They come from Miami Beach, West Palm or South America. Every now and then you will see a nice Bentley or a Ferrari parked outside. Nothing like Vegas. I don't know what games they play, but there have been a few million dollar casino wins in Florida.

All in all, Florida casinos do a nice job of providing quality entertainment. The machines and the floors are clean. You will find a bad deal button on occasion. If you turn on the service button an engineer will come over and fix it for you. If you are only going to play positive VP games these days, you don't have many choices. I spend my time enjoying myself and I don't fret over the odds. They are what they are. I can play what I have or do something else for the day.

Whatever you do, never insert >$20. You'll hit a cold cycle and stay out of stubbornness. Before you know it, the ATM recouping effort activates.

Indeed! I noticed that last week when we were at Seneca Niagara. However, the update on VPfree2 was not from me. I had decided to look at the pay tables more closely next Tuesday, when we are stopping in there, to report just how awful (or not) the degraded pay tables are.
