Some good options for the Strip:

Cromwell has a variety of 99%+ payback games for quarters - right by the main entrance. You will gain virtually nothing in points. Nice cadino with good drink service.

Ti has some good games for 50 cent and up. 9/6 DDB comes to mind on several machines by the slot club.

Aria offers 8/6 BDLX DSTP (around 99%) for quarters. One row over by the slot club. IIRC they also have some full pay TDB at the $5 level.

As others mentioned, Downtown and off Strip casinos have a great variety of better games, but if you have to pay to get there the difference in EV will be gobbled up with travel expenses.

Personally, when on a Vegas vacation, I would rather play somewhere nice than in a smokey run-down grind joint.

There is a free shuttle from Harrahs to Sams Town, or you can take the Rio shuttle and walk across the street to Gold Coast.

Boyd operates their own shuttle that runs through Orleans, Gold Coast, and the LINQ (which is right next to Harrah's).

Rio/Gold Coast/Palms has been my stomping grounds the last three years. Outstanding choices for $1 denomination.

Yes, the Cromwell has six 25c machines just inside the southwesterly entrance with NSU deuces and several other games with decent returns. The downside is that they are $50 per tier point.

New York New York across the street from the MGM has some 98% payout poker machines but you can't earn points on them.

Downtown or off the strip for your best FP VP. Also, check out the Stage Door for a great safe dive bar just down from the high roller
