50 cent progressives?

Post by Gmitch36 »

Does anyone know of casinos that offer 50 cent video poker progressive machines? I have seen progressives for 25 cent and $1 but never 50 cent. I would play in either AC or Vegas.

Thanks

I just spent a few nights at Sams Town in Las Vegas and they had a 25 cent progressive that takes 10 quarters, so the payout is same as a 50 cent one.

There are some exceptions obviously, but progressive or not...the 50c level is often a bad choice. Paytables are as weak as the quarter level, and you're betting twice as much.

One big exception to this though is the 8/5 Aces and Eights Progressive for Royal and Sequential Royal at Circus Circus. That's 100.25% even before the progressive meters. The strategy is pretty close to Bonus Poker/Jacks or Better, but 88 (since quad 8s are also 400 credits like Aces) is better than 4 to a flush.
