Stations Casino in Las Vegas

Post by Purzel »

I have been so far to two different "local" casinos in Las Vegas , both on the Boulder Highway Sams Town and the Cannery, while the gambling and the rooms were great i was so disappointed with their ventilation on the casino floor , so that leads me to my question ....How well is the ventilation in these Station casinos ? and which station casino is your favorite ?

Stations owns dozens of casinos, ranging from the Wildfire brand slot parlors to magnificent resorts like Red Rock and Green Valley Ranch.
Boulder Highway casinos, and the Wildfires tend to attract people on the low end of the economic ladder, who tend to smoke more.
Red Rock and GVR have much less smoking, regardless of the ventilation systems, but as they are much newer, I imagine the system is much better.

I'm appalled at the people, "at the low end of the economic spectrum" as Billy puts it, who smoke....and not just a little but who smoke excessively! With the price of cigarettes at astronomical levels, it boggles the mind that people pay what little money they have for such a useless, deadly, smelly, repulsive habit.

Tobacco really shouldn't be in existence in this day and age....that it still is bears testament to the absurd wealth (and resultant influence and political strength) of the tobacco conglomerates.

Ahh, if only gamblers who smoke, quit gambling - they'd all be able to pick up some very sweet Arturo Fuente's.....

Be gone knaves.

Arturo Fuente cigars are consistently rated among the best cigars in the world. Our reputation for unsurpassed quality, with both flavor and construction, has amassed a loyal following among cigar connoisseurs.

Hmmm, to think all one has to do is insert a smoldering blob of poisonous weeds (because that is in, POINT OF FACT, precisely what Tobacco is, a Poisonous WEED) into one's mouth, suck the fumes into one's oral cavity and then blow it back out and stink up the ENTIRE area within 300 feet of oneself.....and then be called "Educated" is disconcerting. Cigars, along with all tobacco products are ridiculous....the actual cost to society in terms of LIVES, and money boggles to (truly) educated mindset.

One morbid note of curiosity: Given all that we NOW do know concerning the carcinogenic potential and properties of tobacco and things like overpriced cigars, how does one "enjoy" such a thing while shutting out the horrific thought of ending up looking (and feeling) like Roger Ebert in the last 2-3 years of his life? That's a special brand of cognitive dissonance I'm incapable of practicing.

Edited to add: To be fair and balanced though, I am 100% ok with Cognac indulgence, even though I do not imbibe alcohol at all.....just as long as one drinks it in moderation and does not operate a motor vehicle or heavy machinery when intoxicated.

A couple points:

Roger Ebert was a lifelong non-smoker who had a well known dislike for cigarettes. Cancer had also spread from his throat to his hip. Roger was a warrior in the battle against cancer.

Is another poster saying that it is o.k. in their eyes to: handle firearms or other weapons for that matter; get close to the edge of a body of water where they can potentially fall in and drown; work on electrical circuits; handle flame producing materials; gamble; or, do any other stupid human tricks, when intoxicated?
