Sidenote:  And if you had been around this forum a bit longer, you would know our friend from south of the border is always making taco jokes.  It was funny.

I may have told a taco joke or two (or twenty) in the past. But Oneida's Indian Taco is a serious matter... (and seriously GOOD).

Step 1) Go to this page: http://www.oneidabingoandcasino.net/?pa ... page_id=11

Step 2) Scroll down and click on "Lodge Specials"

Step 3) Order the Tuesday Special.

VPPRO, I agree with Kjohn. Kansas City casinos are by far heads above the the tribal casinos when it comes to vp. My wife and I have done quite well at Ameristar as they have a wide variety of games and have been recently updated with new carpet, etc. Harrahs as Kjohn said is becoming old and tired. Isle of Capri has limited vp although they are the only casino in KC that has Quik Quads. As for Argosy, I live 5 minutes from it, yet have not been there in over a year. I do however have a close friend that works in the spa at Argosy and has told me that the are constantly updating their machines so I'll go take a look for you.
For Kjohn, don't know if you are aware, but Argosy will have the new casino at the Kansas Speedway opening in 2012. From what I've heard this new casino should be about 4 times the size of the NKC Argosy with all the bells and whistles including a large variety of video poker. According to our casino host at Ameristar, they are quite troubled with this new facility which is why they are updating their own facilities.
Now, if I could get some HITS like Lucky Larry, I would be a happy man.

Maybe you people would have a better understanding of my position if you read my posts in the lounge under offensive user names

Maybe you people would have a better understanding of my position if you read my posts in the lounge under offensive user namesI think your position is very clear.  This is not a case of misunderstanding your position as much as it is you misunderstanding others.I read your posts in the other column.  Although I think "hijacking the column" is too strong a phrase, your posts eventually changed the discussion in that thread as to draw attention away from the original poster's intent and back towards a subject in which you had fully delineated your position in another thread.  As I recall, you apologized later saying that wasn't your intent, but it was difficult to see any other possible intent of your post.Everything isn't always about you and your quest.  You've made your point. You won't win as many others to your position as you will alienate by being ultra-sensitive and certainly not by bringing up your mission in posts that are only related by the thinnest of logical threads.  There are plenty of causes to be offended by if you want to live your life by combing very finely through others comments. For the record, I was not terribly concerned about the crude names with sexual overtones, but I may very well be in the minority and my opinions were not terribly strong one way or another.  The typical poster here is likely in a different demographic than me, so I can understand their concerns even if I don't share them. And that line of thought was something that hadn't been discussed here before.  I think I made a post about not envying Webman's position in refereeing.  That role is extremely tough in controversial cases. So I don't fall into the trap of violating the standard that I'm recommending, I'll try very hard not to respond further and let yours be the last say in the matter.  Try and make it a good one.  It would be great if you could convey that you understand the positions of others while simultaneously expressing how you feel if you think there is still doubt among some about exactly what your concerns are.Edit:  MikeA, See what you started!!

edog, I have read your post there. I do not mean to play down any harm you receivd as a child about that word. I am sorry you were hurt. But sometimes when we hurt, we need to realize that we do not need to change the world that hurts us... we need to heal within ourselves.

There is a phrase that "sticks and bones will break my bones but names will never hurt me." I learned as a child that can be very wrong. Words can hurt more than anything. But only if we let them. I now realize this phrase is not a statement that words can do no harm, but a declaration: I will not let words hurt me. From that there is strength and the world can call you whatever they want to call you, you will not let it change who you really are.

Try to see where others are coming from. If that word is so widely accepted, is it right to hold people on a message board more accountable than the rest of the world in its use because of how it makes you feel, or is there healing inside you that needs to take place to exist in the world without continuing to feel harm that is not intended for you? Again look at people's intent. People are in fact not saying anythign personal about you at all, they just want to talk about video poker of all things.

I want you to feel welcomed by me. I will even make some changes in what I say knowing now how sensitive you are about this issue. But there will be more people who post here in the future who use that word innocently and if you take offense to every one of them and accuse them of an offense they never intended, the reaction will probably be the opposite of what you desire. In your defense, you might make enemies.

I hope this helps just a little. I am sure there are others in this world who have felt the same harm that you have. I would seek them out, or seek some elders to find some healing. Not to change what you do, but to feel better within yourself and know that names will never again hurt you because no word can change who you really are.

New and Eduardo I thank you for reading my other posts. Also for your advice. What you are suggesting makes sense. I think with my heart and not my head. I react and sometimes regret it . AS far as making enemies I am sure I have done that already As far as talking to elders I have done that several times they all tell me the same thing to stand up for what you believe in. I know I am the only dog in this fight pardon the pun. again I thank you for the time spent on this topic
