Mike, 8 coins back for a "boat" is decent here in Calif. Although most if not all the best paytables are 9/6 or 9/7. I  would definitely manage on 9/6 nickels and quarters! Thanks again

Thanks againI'm pretty sure you can find something there then.  Seems like DDB was 9/6 and the DB may have been 9/6/5.  Anyway, I'll check it out next trip. The thing is, 7-Clans is opening a new casino just south of the OK/KS border that will be about the largest in the area.  It should be opening within the next month or two.  It's called "First Counsel" and looks to be a nice one.  It is the gas station that is already in business next door to the new casino that has the 9/6 JOB.  I don't remember about JOB down in Redrocks (Paradise).

Remember I'm a native so. Californian. driving up 35 to get to four corners/ Enid was a whole new world for us folks. If and when I get the opportunity, I'll have to take a looksee at this First Counsel.Straight up 77 (or 75, I forget) from Redrock, it is about 12 miles to Ponca City.  About 5 miles south of Ponca City is the Blue Star casino.  Just stay away from it.  They have nothing there at all and it's old and run down unless they've renovated it.  I think it might be more for Bingo.15 miles maybe to Newkirk from Ponca City.  In Newkirk, the KAW casino is located.  It's the oldest in the area closest to the OK/KS line.  It's been recently refurbished and is quite attractive with a layout that isn't cramped.  Just wish they had better pay tables."Native Lights" opened up a couple of years ago about 7 miles north of Newkirk and maybe 3 miles south of the border.  It's a nice casino that has enough slots and VP crammed in it for a casino twice the size!  They also have the $.50 ante Blackjack and also 3-Card Poker.North 1 mile from Native Lights, you'll find the new First Counsel casino and the "Little Bit of Paradise" gas station that also has slots and VP.So, making the drive from Ponca City on up north 30 miles will turn you on to 3 more casinos worth visiting.  Things change often enough that I wouldn't rule any one of the three completely out.

Thanks Mike, You've been more than helpful. Anything worth the drive into Ks. ?Not yet.  At least not from where you'll be.  It would be around 200 miles from the border to the closest Kansas casino and it's nothing to write home about.  KC Missouri is probably 250 miles from the border.  I haven't found anything up there that would justify that kind of drive for you. Now, if you are willing to wait about 3 years, there will be a new State run Kansas Casino in either Wellington or Mulvane (about 30 miles south of Wichita.) That would be only 30 or 40 miles from the Oklahoma border and if my hopes materialize, there will be some good VP in those casinos!I hate to think how badly those Kansas casinos will hurt the Oklahoma casinos.  Of course, it may be a pipe dream of mine.  They may be not worth the hype.  But corps like Binions and Harrahs are bidding on the management of them!  They should be good...unless Harrah's gets their fingers into the mix!

You could move to Vegas and slip down every not and then, to Mandalay Bay.  Isn't that about the same as the ocean?
Yes, it's pretty much the same as the ocean.  If you drop your money in, it just disappears, goes away, never to be seen again.Has anyone ever won at MBay?I have not even been tempted to shine up their nice clean machines.
