Speed of play

During my last few sessions playing BPD I have focused on playing at a constant speed and rhythm. As an example, if I flop 3oak or 4 to a royal I no longer stop to look at it and say a short prayer to the vp gods, I continue with my hand then go on to the next one. I'm curious if cadence, tempo or speed of play make a difference and would appreciate any opinions or feedback. My trips to Vegas have unfortunately been very infrequent lately so I've been playing at a local So. Calif. Indian Casino.

No difference as far as what cards you will get, but there may be a psychological difference and a difference in how well you play. A rhythm might help some people focus. Trying to rush might force mistakes. Do whatever feels best for you.

On negative games, the faster you play, the more you will lose. Find a place you are.comfortable with.
Playing a bad 97.5% game, your expected losses for two hours at 600 spins an hour are far higher than if you average 400 per hour. Some people scoff at prayers and other superstitious rituals but if they slow down the game, they are beneficial.
Concrete on playing error free. Nothing will save you money like eliminating as many mistakes as possible.

Good advice. Playing faster also causes more errors. It's easy to get caught up in the game and make major mistakes. You can't play negative games too slow. Take it from someone who knows.

Yes. It's a negative game, even if only by one half percent. Why rush to donate more to casino coffers? Order a martini and savor the olives. Much sweeter than the sour grapes you'll have back home.

True. Ethanol is usually written as CH3CH2OH.
