I have to agree with all of Bob’s points. I was strictly talking about playing the vp machines themselves as if the casino itself didn’t exist. I probably should have added as part of skill.....playing too fast. If you go too fast, you will be unable to verify your cards are really held. I have continuous problems with both the buttons abd the glass just like I do with the cell phone. At least with an I phone, if your skin is too dry, the phone won’t respond to touch. I haven’t tried to see if that holds true on the machines when holding cards by touching the glass.

I play high variance games as well. Generally, I play TDB with the 9/7 paytable and I play it accurately. With it's sky-high variance it is feast or famine. Without getting a good number of the 2000 or 4000 payouts, you will lose badly, quickly and often (even with 9/7). Adding some multipliers games to the mix ratchets up the volatility even more.

Giving up 5 credits per 3 of a kind, and 5 credits on every two pair really adds up. Playing once a week or so, I've gone several months many times where the only thing left in my pockets after a playing session is lint.

But of course the opposite can happen as well. If you start running well and hit big quads with kickers you can really clean up.

definitely. I would add that you really need those mid range hits being that it's not all that unusual to go several months without the jackpots. If your getting generic quads, you won't be recouping enough.

I'm a skilled VP player but have been consistently been losing for several months. I'm trying to figure what I am doing wrong, I'm not referring to game play. I'm not sure if it's game selection, as in game variation, not pay table. I enjoy playing the multiplier games, mostly ultimate x, powerhouse, and super times pay. I play TBD and Deuces. I play at the .05 level and usually 3 hands so $1.50/deal. I live minutes from A.C.. So I frequent the casino often usually with a budget of about $200 -400. I'm trying to figure out if it's budget, denomination. Or game variation. Or maybe a combination of all. Any ingo would be appreciated

In the long term, all good luck will be balanced out unfortunately while all bad luck will be balanced out as well luckily... All the game in AC are negative games and you are playing all high volatile games. If you can't win with multipliers, you will lose.

Absolutely untrue. There is no certainty. Things like standard deviation come into play. You and your AP friends criticized FP for leading folks astray and yet this is no different. Practice what you preach.

Getting back to my point, I took issue with your statement that "In the long term, all good luck will be balanced out unfortunately while all bad luck will be balanced out as well luckily" While the math suggest playing X number of VP hands the probability of luck evening out is high but my point is that nothing is certain for any individual. BTW, how many hands do you consider X to be?

i like Wilsons gambling guide, i believe he said no one should survive 30 days 8 hour per day and still be even or ahead bucking heads up against the table games however Oscars Grind was able to slip through the cracks of law of large numbers and "some" people can't seem to accept nor understand it
my answer would be 8hours x 600 hands =4800 hands times 30days 144k hands or 240hr of gaming
things do get strange each slice 144k hands will yield - or + result even at 96% gamaes of chance
again the mathies seem to banish this theory however it has and will continue to happen
best approach imo is to play 9/6 jacks like Bob did and get it over w/

I have no idea what you mean. Butting heads up against table games? I agree. Table games are basically donation central, unless you are a savant or prodigy. I marvel at our suspended member who came out about even after a single eight hour VP day. I'm usually thrilled to walk away even after one hundred minutes of dread.
