What's the true story?

Post by silastwist »

25 cent vp

I am dealt 4 to a royal. I pull my player's card. I hit the royal on the next spin. Does the casino tracking know that I hit the royal? Seems to be varying opinions. Does any one know the correct answer? And why?

It depends on the player tracking system.

in the "old days" (1990s and before), the 4000 coins would not show up on the record. Most player tracking systems today, will finish out the hand based on the card that had been inserted at the start of the hand. You'll get a message on the player tracking screen to this effect.

In general, the procedure won't work today --- unless some casino hasn't updated it's software in a couple of decades --- which probably is true in some places.

With 25 cent vp, there is little benefit to do this anyway. The main purpose of doing this is to disguise your big scores so the casino won't penalize you for winning so much. It's difficult to do this at quarters. Even if you're over-royaled by two or three over a year, that's only $2,000 or $3,000 and most casinos don't sweat that. If you're playing $5 hands, of course, being over-royaled by a couple puts you $40,000 or $60,000 ahead. Many casinos get nervous around such numbers.

The "modern" way to pull your card is on Ultimate X. Say you're playing UX Ten Play and are dealt a full house. All of that shows up on your card. If you pull your card NOW, the next hand (which has a 12x multiplier on all hands) does not get recorded. The coin-in on this second hand won't be recorded either, but with a sum-of-multipliers of 120, the player figures to be a big winner on these hands. Not every time, of course, but on average over time.

The tracking system is used by Station Casinos.

Recently 3 players, quarter only have been No-Mailed.

Periodically, a special screen will come up on the side while playing.

It states " advantage player tracking "

This is on 25 cent FPDW

Any insights on this?

This type of tracking system has advanced analytics capabilities for detecting APs (Advantage Players).
Thus, if you use your player's club card on these, you will get no-mailed if you are a good player much more readily.

Bob, do the new Ultimate X Gold machines only have active next-hand multipliers for 10 coin bets or can 5 coin bets be made that also have active next-hand multipliers ?

I can’t answer for out your way, but here some of the machines do not pay the correct amount for the Royal on the 6th coin. You have to be careful. The casinos can be so tricky. Hopefully Bob will get your answer. They do pay correctly for the extra bet on the tenth coin. Forget what I just said. I was referring to Super times pay. Sorry, but thats what they pull on STP

They don't pay correctly for the Royal on STP? That's news to me. Most games pay 4000 with max bet as expected. The 6th coin is just for the STP multiplier.

Some games at Mohegan Sun in the lower denominations short coin you on the 6th coun, but I have to get the detail. I will take a screen shot next time I’m there. I think it may be on a 2 cent machine. It has been a long time sunce I noticed it. If I renember on those machines, the 10th coin was required to get paid the correct amount, not counting the extra STP coins. The paytable was cery poor as well. I remember Joker Kings being 20/5. Only 5 for the full house

Oh i have seen that twice in my life. Most casinos don't set STP that way.
