muti hand play question

Post by wildman49 »

I don't play much muti hand poker since the pay tables are much better on single hand where I play.

What I want to know is this. Say you got 10 play 9/6 JOB 99.54% pay back. You play 40,000 hands. That's 400,000 at ten play. So to get the pay back % do you at some point over the 40k pulls have to get 10 Royals for the % pay back to work?

That's a good question wildman and I think somewhere in the calculation dealt prime hands (i.e. royals, 2's/3's/4's) may change the numbers a bit. Common thinking says to treat each of the 10 hands as individual but when dealt prime hands happen, this event could alter the results.

Ted in JOB there is no prime hands like DDB. Just trying to understand the pay back in math terms on muti hand games.

I believe that the answer is yes. You will have paid to play 400,000 hands, so if you don't hit close to the theoretical average number of royals for those 400,000 hands, it's unlikely you'll come close to the 99.54% return figure.

Oops, good catch wildman. Because I only play TDB I'll refrain from posting.

Thanks OMT I was thinking that must be right to get the 99.54% pay back under mathematics. We all in real time play anything can happen.

Bellagio used to have $1.00 9/6 JOB 10 play. Played it my last night in town-years ago with my last $800 and played for 2 hours. cashed out at $880.
