Thanks guys , so what would you say the long run , or after how many hands of vp would you reach the player edge on the machine ( 98.98% DDB in my case ) . Like 100 k hands ? Or even more ?

I don't know if there a magic number. You will approach that average over time, but I would think much more than 100,000 hands. Basically you need to play enough that the "swings" no longer take you more than a certain % away from your current %.

Early on, a royal flush is a huge percentage of your return. 8 losing sessions in a row is a huge percentage of your return. But after you've played $2 million through the machine, a royal flush or two doesn't change your long run return all that much and neither does a bad streak. After $50 million, they matter even less for your overall return. Etc.

You could probably say "after ___ hands, I will likely be within ___ percentage of the return" but you will never be right at that exact point for more than a hand, and it shouldn't matter to you. You want to be sure your return range plus extras is positive.

If you are really getting 1% back, then you have a positive chance, IF you play perfectly. Your 1% may have been partly a limited time promo or something though, so be sure you know what the conditions are.

Given what you've posted so far though, it sounds like you are getting way ahead of yourself and should take a lot of time to learn and practice before you put that kind of money on the line.

If you want to be a race car driver, you don't just buy a race car and step on the gas. Getting a driver's license would probably be a better start.

If I may ask, how did you do on Black Jack? What stakes did you play? How long were you playing for and what were your year to year results like?

I was comfortable with $1 machines ($5) , but I heard ( also experienced ) that it would require like 12 hours to get 50 k coin in in session , which it does .
I think you walk before you run. Grind out the $1 level for awhile. Then change to a better lower Var game. Many casinos has 9/6 JOB at the $5 level. If all your trying to do is rack up points JOB is your game.

You need to keep records and try to play the same coin in per month. Many casinos use a 3 month ave. to then award free play/cash back.

Ok , yes I thought so too , JOB 9/6 should be the best option if my goal is to strictly rack up 50 k coin in per session right ? And try to only play on multiplayer/ promotion days ?

I did pretty well for bj , counting cards for 2 years and it depends on the casinos but if I know the casino is very tolerant I would sometimes spread to $25-2x1000 but only on specific casinos where they don’t really mind as long as you are losing , usually at somewhat sweaty casinos I would do spread like 100-500 or even smaller like 100-300 ( still is very positive ev ) shorter session . First year was almost just break even or slightly up but I did pretty good this year with about 50 k profit . But lost 22 k of it on VP . 😡. But the problem is I got backed off most of local for bj so I’m coming back with VP at these locals where I already know offer is great from bj play .

Have you thought about playing a lessor coin but maybe on a 5 play or even a 10 play? Easy to get your coin in and helps on the variance.

I agree with this 100%. At $25/deal, I would play 5 play at dollars or 10 play at 50 cents instead of single line at $5. The volatily is reduced 80-90%. Although there will be many more losing sessions than winning ones, the overall loses will be reduced dramatically over the same time of play. You will still lose at 98.98% games, but will lose 80-90% slower with the same coin-in. The original poster would still be reaching the desired play level and may be down only $3-6k instead of $22k.

The long run is around 50 million hands.
