Go Coogs!!! We just cracked the top 25 in both polls. Would be nice to make another deep run in the tournament again this year.

Well unfortunately there is this little team from the University of Munchkinland that WILL be doing everything in their power to make sure that UConn doesn't make a deep run into the tourney this year.

Well unfortunately there is this little team that engages in all-out brawls and then likes to throw chairs.

UCONN continues to have huge troubles in its football program especially with the defense. I wont even cite their record so far, but it is one of the worst. Of course UCONN being my Alma Mater, I support all of their programs and wish them well. The lady Huskies continue to be phenomenal with Gino still at the helm.

Olds,
we'll certainly hook up if we get up there again. UConn football playing about the same level of my Coogs. 4 Coaches in just 5 years and no recruiting for three years with turnover and no red-shirting players leads to a killer. New coach is finally building our success just like our basketball coach.

My sister in law's best friend is in from Connecticut and has been a UCONN woman's follower since she graduated from their before their husbands served in Vietnam together in the mid 60's.

seemoreroyals,
Coogs played an ugly game but finally take UCONN in BB. 50+ fouls called in the game. The AAC refs are worse than the pay tables in that dark truck stop just over the La. border. ;)

I’m sure your sister in law’s best friend, and the wife and I, when we were dating went to some of the same games. They were free then and sometimes the stands were nearly empty.

LL, hope you are right about UH new football coach. I am still not sold on Holgerson yet. Last years football season for UH was an ugly mess and one I would like to forget.

seemoreroyals,
If you are in the H-Town area we need to meet up at a game or in LC. Time will tell but he appears to be building a good foundation for the program. Do you post on CoogFans as well?

My better half are looking at trip to their BYU game as our out-of-town game with a pre or post stay in Vegas. That way we can play the better odds and hopefully pay for the trip.
Good luck on your next trip and post those pictures. .
Go Coogs!

LL, unfortunately we live about 3-4 hours away in the Tyler area. When I attended UH in the late 70s I used to enjoy watching games at the original Hoffienz Pavillion. We always had a great team. Not quite as great as the Phi Slamma Jamma teams that came shortly after I graduated in 1980 but always competitive and fun to watch. I have never posted or even been to the CoogFan website before. I will look it up. I do post occasionally in the ClutchFans website which is mainly a Houston Rocket site that has other subcategories such as Houston Astro, College hoops, Houston Texans, and other related off topic discussions.

I probably should post pictures but I am too lazy to look up how to do it. We play exclusively at CZR soon to be CZR/ERI properties. Primarily we play at Horseshoe Bossier City or Harrah's and Harvey's Lake Tahoe. We are looking forward to the merger as ERI has two casinos in Black Hawk Co and Tyler has direct flights into Denver. FYI, I am hearing ERI is in the process of building a land based casino somewhere in the Lake Charles area. I am not positive about it but my source is fairly reliable.

It would be fun to hook up some time. My wife does all of our planning. We usually go somewhere once or twice a month. One to two day trips for our local casino in Bossier City and three to four day trips for the trips further away. Good luck to you as well on your next trip.

Yes, we had some awesome teams during those days. I was there 69-76 getting my BS and then MS. Getting back to those days the past couple of years under Sampson. I'm still waiting to go see a game at Fertitta Center (renovated Hoff.) Lots of sports commentators say its one of the best in the nation for college basketball. Hope to get there this season.
I was on campus during the pre SWC and then the first SWC years. i made the first 3 Cotton Bowl games including the UH v Notre Dame Ice bowl. "The ND receiver was out of bounds." But, Joe Montana was something else! Some great football teams winning SWC first 3/4 years.

Sweet C and I've spent some nice times in Bossier City/Shreveport area when one of ours was in college at Nacogdoches. We'd drive up see her-then haul our rears to BC and play/stay or drive back for the next day with her. Some really nice hits and good times back then.

While i've not been to Blackhawk Sweet C, daughter and grand daughter have been there several times on softball tourneys.

Hopefully we can hook up someday.

LL Go Coogs!
