Too add to the "M"isery - my wife lost all of her free play offers. Mine was cut 75%. They did give her two $25 dining credits. She loves to play Quick Quads there. Not sure about that anymore though.

Visited Gold Coast yesterday. They did a temp check at the door and offered masks. 11x multiplier. Did not use it there as the machines we usually play were in use, it was too crowded, no one was sanitizing anything, social distancing was not being followed nor was anyone enforcing it, and it was way too smoky in the northwest corner. Not good for a 55 year old Sea Lion with COPD... Ended up going back to Suncoast. They had the 11x multiplier as well.

Kudos to Orleans for playing Dio Holy Diver over the sound system on the 2nd floor where the bowling alley is Saturday evening. It is rare to hear good music in the casinos!!

Got mailer from M today . . . it reiterates my reduced free play for June, but it added in a $25 food comp, good just once in June. I used to get $35 each week in every month. Don't know why the little food comp was added, but it wasn't on my account last week.
Also, we got NO multipliers. I used to get 3X VP at least once a week, and 2X VP otherwise.
It's as if M is clawing back its lost revenue, rather than enticing locals back (like Rampart or GVR).

Have any of you stopped by Red Rock? It was our go to casino and hotel. My late wife and I used to get comped suites but haven't had any offers, probably as we haven't been there in 3 years when her health began deteriorating. I looked at a couple of articles and tv snippets which said they were implementing the standard safety measures though masks were optional for casino guests. Most people in the TV broadcasts were without masks and social distancing did not appear to be followed by many guests. Obviously smoking is not banned. Doubt if I am going back anytime soon under those conditions assuming my observations are correct.

My neighbor visited Red Rock last weekend. All reopened Station properties have installed thermal imaging scanners at their entrances, to check guest temperatures. So, there's that. (At downtown casinos, they used forehead thermometers).
Red Rock was very busy, and because it's an older clientele, he saw more people wearing masks than at Strip casinos. The bad news: lots of smoking. He said people pulled down their masks, smoked, and then just put them back up when done. Yuck to that.
For the Vegas visitors, here's another interesting fact: total reversal on hotel policies since Oct. 1.
After the mass shooting, hotel employee would enter your room for a "welfare check" every day.
Now, NO ONE will enter your room once you check in. That includes housekeeping.
So, if you like daily housekeeping, then don't visit Vegas anytime soon. No matter how long you are in town, you will get ZERO housekeeping services. But, hey, they are still collecting resort fees!!

We stayed at the D in January and had daily housekeeping service. And no we didn't have to call. It looked like they were doing every room.

Thanks Doug. Think I will pass on RR at least for now. Their non-smoking section, the last time I was there, was pitifully small. I'm sure worse now. Take care of yourself.

I will be checking out Laughlin next week. I know the Riverside has a huge non smoking section where the south tower is. That has been there at least 25 years. Nothing is playable there though except the Quick Quad machines just outside the high limit area which is in a smoking section, and most of the time you'll lose on those.

You misunderstand. No one is talking about January.

This is about no housekeeping entering your room during your entire stay SINCE JUNE 4th reopening.
I've read that some hotels are placing "sanitized" stickers on door jambs; once that sticker is broken by the guest checking in, that's that. The room won't be cleaned (well, hopefully cleaned) till you checkout
