When the hand of full house containing 3 aces is dealt, how many of you hold full house and how many hold 3 aces on 10/7/5 double bonus?

Mathematically, holding 3 aces is only .5 credit better, but how do you think?

I look at it as 10 coins vs 160 coins. A no brainer for me. Always break the full house, hold 3 Aces.

I wouldn't expect to get the full pay back of the game, by not following the mathematically correct strategy.

In LV, the only places I've seen this game within the last year was at Station Casinos on the 100% optimum machines, and at Main Street Station (a Boyd property) downtown which is now closed indefinitely. I would hold the 3 aces and go for the quad aces. The only game I would hold a full house with 3 aces dealt is on 8/5 Bonus Poker.

It's been so long since I played double bonus that I don't specifically recall how I played that particular hand. But, since my strategy card indicates drawing to the three aces is the better play, I think that's what I would have done. After all, what's the point of having some guidance if you're not going to follow it?

To lower the variance at the cost of not losing too much in terms of long term return.

Good point on variance HH. Kind of a "bird in hand" approach.
I don't know or play DB but according to strategy card and ER's for "close-call" hands in JOB i sometimes use this same approach depending on my win/loss situation.
Like holding a 2.38 instead of the "proper" 2.39.

I hadn't thought of it quite like that, but, yes, it's a good point.

How much would that play method reduce the game return from 100.i7%, and the variance from 28.26%?

I checked WOO analyzer and got 0.11 credit difference (please someone check I input correctly). I don't play this variant, but even at 0.11 that to me is quite significant . Only way I can see keeping the boat is if I was down to my last few credits (even though I know it's still not proper). Also I may be a bit more inclined to keep the FH too, based on no kicker payout.

I sometimes do that when bankroll is gone. I have had several last gasps that worked out for me- full house, then quad, then another, etc...always case by case basis. And maybe if I am close to a Tier bonus.

Spot-on TT. A very well stated description of trying to avoid those last few credits slipping away.
Case by case pretty much covers it.
In JOB many of the choices against the card are way less than .11%

You'd also have to factor in how often you're dealt aces full.
