Re: Question for BD on Royalless streaks

PS just a quick note to bean counters who run casinos and may read some of the posts here. If you just kept track of total dollars lost per average serious vp patron at the end of the year, I think you would be a bit more generous with comps instead of making much larger rewards to penny slot players. So what if the per hour dollar average loss is lower for vp players. Better we are there and keeping the machines churning than having rows and rows of mindless penny machines sitting there unplayed.

A point that keeps creeping back into my head respecting the royalless streaks is that once, as I recall, I mentioned that you had, indeed, hit a royal, yet you were still "in a royalless streak". You responded to the affect that it wasn't on the proper hand.

I still don't understand.

If I remember, at the time, and I don’t recall the detail, I was counting Royals as if I was playing just single line games. In other words, whatever happened on other than the deal line didn’t count. A very small amount of my play is on multi line games I was concerned about the terrible cards being dealt. That was a short time frame that happened and I don’t have an exact count on how many extra hands above the deal line were played. My gut feeling is if I had counted those exactly for that sequence, the number could have been maybe that one Royal in say 700,000 hands. I guess the point I am making is that I am afraid that short term results are still longer than ones lifetime. Otherwise, in addition to the bad Royal sequences, I am still hitting more quad deuces than I should. To be hitting roughly 12 percent more than I should on quad deuces over more than 20 million hands, these nust still be considered short term results. That’s my take anyway. That is slso why I said the results are accurate within roughly 5 percent. There is one more streak I am currently on that doesn’t thrill me, but of course there is nothing I can do about it. I have now gone into the millions of hands without a dealt Royal. I have wasted too much money recently playing DDS hoping for one at a 97 percent return. At least I gave up on that. I am going back to just airport deuces and 9/6 job. My last Royal funny thiugh was on a redraw in mid July

One final note. In my five trips to Aruba all of which had a lot of vp play, I have hit 7 Royals in about 60,000 hands total of nickel play. My post on my bad streaks is just about my play at Ct casinos.
Many players, when they want to impress us with either how lucky or how unlucky they've been, find a way to exclude the data that doesn't fit their thesis.

No intent to impress. Just reporting facts. All along, I have stated that those counts relate to play at Ct casinos. The play in Aruba was years before any of the Royalless streaks. All of those streaks relate to play in the last ten years in Ct. Actually, the counts started either in 2013 pr 2014. One was even 800,000. I think the last one. The ones before were between 500,000 and 600,000 and they were pretty methodically reported as sessions unfolded. Personally, I don’t give a .... if anyone believes me or not. Just thought some might have found these results of interest. I have also reported extremely rare close together hits once I finally figured a way to post the pictures. If I need to impress folks here in one way or another, I better find another life. I enjoy the humor, the give and take, and the many points of interest that’s about it.

One correction to my above post. My last Royal was on a redraw on 9/30. The one before that was on 7/16. Neither of those have anything to do with the lengthy Royalless cycles. Nor does the one on 7/5 shortly after the casino reopened. The one on 9/30 was about 200,000 hands after the one one on 7/16.

Yeah one of my very first post I said in this world nowadays you have to have a thick skin. And I don’t doubt any of his skills or talents one bit. If he was a fly on the wall during all those seven years of pllay he would know exactly what I am talking about and have seen it firsthand.
