Quick DDB questions

Post by olds442jetaway »

I rarely play this game and I know I can look this stuff up, but maybe these quick questions will help other newer players too. I am going to try a session at Mohegan Sun. The best game I can get there is 9/6 just under 99 percent return with perfect play.
I am assuming if I am dealt a full house with 3 Aces, I toss it and keep the Aces as well as a 2,3or 4 if one is there. Correct?
If I am dealt 3 Aces and a kicker, keep the Aces and the kicker correct?
If I am dealt 2 pair and one pair is Aces, still go for the full house correct?
Thise are my only questions for now. I know the variance is high. I know to expect that up front. Thanks.

In 9/6 DDB, hold 3 aces only. When dealt two pair with aces, only hold the 2 aces.

Olds since the points change at the casino I play at I been looking at DDB. Our pay table is 99.96% so would not have to worry much about little to no comps at the quarter level. I also never play it so would have to put some time into learning the game. Just wondering how long one can ride out not hitting them top paying hands before bailing on the game.

When we had the $5 version on 40/10/6 DDB down here, my friend pluged various bankroll into Bob's software at the time. And even using a $1 million bankroll with the comp and cashback percentage added, which brought the overall payback to over 100%, it still showed an astronomically high RoR. Needless to say, we ran well and above expectation on it before they downgraded the pay table.

Olds your assumptions on questions 1 & 2 are correct when playing TDB. As pointed out, not for DDB.

And on my third question somehow I had in my brain A two-for-one pay out two pair even though I know that is not the case. Otherwise I would never have asked question three especially since if I did not pull the full house, I would only end up with a push.

Last night I started out with double double bonus and stuck with it for about 2 1/2 hours. I did not catch even one quad in by that time over $600 of my $1000 Bank Roll was gone.

However, all was not lost. I defaulted back to martingale clone and instead of starting with quarters I started with halves due to the beating I had taken. Before too long,I got this bail out and packed it in ending up plus a little bit to cover gasoline and a light late lunch
