Oh no. Disastrous DDB. I was nervous about the thread's conclusion when you were asking questions prior to the session. It honestly seemed like an easily predictable path to insolvency. Doctors don't worry about technique before their surgeries. It's learned behavior in their bones. We must strive to perform surgical strike hit and runs with minimal risk exposure. So play to your strengths. Variety is the spice of life. But curiosity killed the cat. And our BRs don't have nine lives. You retraced your steps and somehow got your bail out...this time.

Olds since the points change at the casino I play at I been looking at DDB. Our pay table is 99.96% so would not have to worry much about little to no comps at the quarter level. I also never play it so would have to put some time into learning the game. Just wondering how long one can ride out not hitting them top paying hands before bailing on the game.
Bob's article this week discusses some of the deviations between regular 10/6* and 40/10/6 (Bob puts the 40 after the 6 but it's the same game) DDB.

* Highly unlikely you'll find full pay 10/6 DDB outside of Nevada.

Just to add that your holds (3 As with kicker) would be correct if playing Triple Double Bonus.

I haven't seen 10/6 outside of Nevada. Half of the states i gamble in, it's illegal anyway. I've definitely have stumbled across 40/10/6 in MS, IL, and IN. But i think they are all gone now though.

As wildman has pointed out, Soaring Eagle still has it. I haven't been there in a couple of years so I can't verify it.

Yes soaring has this DDB 99.96% by lowering the SF from 250 to 200 coins.

There is 21 machines at this time with the game. I have tried to learn it a bit this week but not feeling it. Still prefer Deuces.

This is the game 2 Detroit players played for hours a day. Both are on a lifetime ban from the casino. The one guy came up and would play all day on Sunday from 6a to 11p. He did so many points that he was at the top for free play $500 a week . He came in on Sundays for extra pay day meaning on that day only 8a to 12p you would get the same weekly free play. So he had $1000 free play on Sunday was cleaning up and the casino had enough and changed the points received on Game Kings and put a ban on 8 players on these machines.
