Free play accepted here

Soaring Eagle now accepts free play on all video poker machines, as of April 2nd! In addition, they changed the points per dollar back to a better level. Used to be a point per dollar in, then went to $10 a point. Now it's $2 per point on video poker.
So 1000 points slots = $2 free play or $4 comps.
2000 points = $1 free play or $2 comps. So, back to AP, Wildman!

Interesting how so many casinos have different reward structures. April first started a new tier cycle at Mohegan Sun. I am going to have to write/call the player development people again. Last cycle, I had to cycle through about 20,000 in a 24 hour period to get 100 in free play. Starting April first it is about 34,000. I will let them know all they are doing is removing my incentive to go and play there and cycle through substantial money. Guess I will see what happens. The free play is such a tiny percentage of coin in!!!! I just don’t get it.

Hopefully, you are playing a 99% game so your losses shouldn't be more than $200 per 20K in. If the casino was returning half your expected losses, it sounds like a pretty good deal.

Someone that knows optimal strategy for the 40/10/6 DDB game should start banging away on it and see how long it takes for the casino to exclude them.

Most times 99 percent, but on a bad day, they can easily squeak nearly 10 percent out of me. Being that there are no clocks in the casino, I would think they would adhere to the keep em playing philosophy.

The thing I noticed last month, almost all the bar tops were going unplayed, with free play not excepted on them. So not as many drinks sold. And most of the video poker "whales" were gone. So it took them about a month to undo most of the changes.

I'm glad they rolled back the worst of it, but this is nevertheless severely damaging for vp players. The slot whales are likely to clean up at the drawings.

They seem to try and see what they can get away with and go from there. If they realized that most people who hit a jackpot will up their bets and keep playing instead of hit and run, I think they would have different marketing attitudes. Have been retired 18 years and have 34 years before that seeing why businesses fail and what to do to save them. If they didn’t have captive audiences meaning us, I think most casinos would fail based on the things they spend their money on and their marketing gimmicks.
