Davidearl,
When playing at 5 hands on JOB you would bet 25 coins. What defined a loss causing you to then play 6 hands? A 0 win? A 15 coin win? A 20 coin win?
It seems like the only way to win is when playing many hands and getting dealt a good hand like a flush, full house or a quad.

I can’t get 99 percent games at Mohegan on multiline games
Olds, there are plenty of 99%+ multiline machines at MS at $1 and above. I've been playing them for years.

Slight misunderstanding. A 50 play machine has 50 hands/lines. I started out with 5 coins, 1 line. So after 5 losses I would go to 5 coins, 6 lines. A pair would be a push, so no change in # of lines. 2 pair through a Royal would be a win, so back to 1 line. This is not trying to force a win. This is trying to win at a coin in that is higher than your average coin in. At most casinos this would not produce a long term profit. It's more about bank roll management. As I stated, I lost most of my profit at all the other casinos (over 100) combined.

A tough decision for me. I am used to playing 99 percent machines. I would probably have a very short session with Bonus Deuces Wild and if I hit even gas or coffee money bail out. By the way, the way David E used to play is very similar to my play now on regular Deuces Wild or other games except I play mostly single line games. I can’t get 99 percent games at Mohegan on multiline games
We have a eight 1 to 20 coin Game Makers. full pay 9/6 Jacks or better with full pay Royal at 5 coins. So I start a 5 coin nickels, switch to quarters after losing at 20 coins, then dollars. Very seldom get to dollars.

Wife and I are in Vegas now for a short trip. CET props here have really bad paytables. BP - 6/5, JOB - 7/5, DDB - 7/5. I normally do not play high volatility games but decided to make this a DDB trip. After first two days I am currently up a few hundred much to my surprise. No royals yet but several premium hands. Thankfully quads were coming more frequently than I was expecting. I did find a few 8/5 DDB machines but never hit a single 4oak on them.

Lucky Larry, I would gladly take any of the choices you are currently pondering if they were available here. However, I am grateful to not be losing my behind given the crappy choices CET offers for video poker in Vegas.

If you are in Vegas, head over to Southpoint (south of the strip on LV Blvd & Silverado Ranch Blvd) or Rampart (Summerlin - Rampart Blvd at Canyon Run Dr). Tons of 9/6 DDB at both casinos.

A wise old local bastid once said "Never ever ever ever play VP on the strip".

The Cromwell CET property on the strip used to have full pay 99.x% machines last year starting at a quarter. Vpfree2 no longer lists them as of 6 months ago.

Funny David, I also increase after losing 4 hands, but after 4 straight. Start with quarters though and keep a simple progression of 5 to 6 etc and back down accordingly if I hit after increasing the bet. Too aggressive for DDB or Joker Kings, but works well most times on JOB or regular Deuces Wild. Downside. Pretty big bankroll needed between 1,000 and 2,000. Even then, bust sometimes on an ice cold night. Upside, well you have seen some of my hits for 2021. Last 3 trips have been losers. Cut them off before busting.

Olds, I’m also riding a three trip losing streak. Unlike you, I have not really been able to cut them off before busting! What I can do is entirely cut an hour of losing by killing time before starting. It’s been quite harsh out of the gate.
