I am trying to do the same as well. Cut time played during ice cold sessions. Starbucks is good for a half hour, the lounge if I decide to wait in line is good for another, and so forth. Its tough though.

To The Director. I will have to check that out. Maybe I am looking in the wrong places. I haven’t looked in the high limit area yet. I thought I covered the rest of the casino and couldn’t find any multiline 99 percent or better machines. I am going up tomorrow night. Will look further into it.
As an aside, tied my record of 4 consecutive losing trips. I hope to break that streak tomorrow. The last one was the biggest.

Not a good streak. Hoping you get back on the winning track.

Wife and I are in Vegas now for a short trip. CET props here have really bad paytables. BP - 6/5, JOB - 7/5, DDB - 7/5. I normally do not play high volatility games but decided to make this a DDB trip. After first two days I am currently up a few hundred much to my surprise. No royals yet but several premium hands. Thankfully quads were coming more frequently than I was expecting. I did find a few 8/5 DDB machines but never hit a single 4oak on them.

Lucky Larry, I would gladly take any of the choices you are currently pondering if they were available here. However, I am grateful to not be losing my behind given the crappy choices CET offers for video poker in Vegas.
If you are in Vegas, head over to Southpoint (south of the strip on LV Blvd & Silverado Ranch Blvd) or Rampart (Summerlin - Rampart Blvd at Canyon Run Dr). Tons of 9/6 DDB at both casinos.

A wise old local bastid once said "Never ever ever ever play VP on the strip".
For now all we play are CET props. Wife 7 star and has been for 10 years. Before that, when we went to Vegas we stayed at Sam's town which back then had 10/6 DDB and plus 100% DW.

The Cromwell CET property on the strip used to have full pay 99.x% machines last year starting at a quarter. Vpfree2 no longer lists them as of 6 months ago.
Did a quick walk through at Cromwell. All I was able to find were the same 7/5 DDB, 7/5 JOB, and 6/5 BP CET so kindly offers. I checked up and down the strip and found a few 8/5 DDB machines at each of their properties as if they were offering a few hidden gems for those of us looking for better paytables.

Wow! Wish you guys had better paytables. That said, who knows in this current climate how long the good ones will last in Ct.

When we played there early last year, the premium (99%+) games were in a bank very close to the Flamingo - Las Vegas Blvd. entrance.

Those games were 25c denom and $50 per RC+TC, therefore not ideal for maintaining 7 Stars status.

Vegas has 99.8% games a few minutes away in every direction.

Quite true. But, if you're OK playing single line quarters, and not too concerned about your seven star status, they're a reasonable option.

Yes. I simply must see the blinding light of the oncoming train at this point. The best thing to do is to play this stuff for most of the trip and go off into a fifteen minute dollar gambit only at the very end. You'll probably leave with most of the BR.
