Congrats on the hit. Looks like you made the max-EV play by holding the three treys!! ;)

Nice hit on the 5OAK olds. Out of curiosity; how much is the bet to hit the top prize of 5,000?

Quite steep. 25 bucks. Pays the same 200 for one as 4 deuces would pay in deuces wild. One nice thing about hitting the Royal in this game on the paytable here. It pays 940 for one so a Royal with 5 quarters pays 4700 bucks. I don’t think many casinos offer this paytable. It is still below 99 percent, but not too bad. Somewhere around 98 and a half.
Just a little extra info on this game. It relies heavily on quads in the total return, nearly 15 percent, but in the long run they come in about every 118 hands at 17 for one. The Royal every in round numbers every 38,500 hands so a little more often than most games. It will give you a five of a kind about every 10,800 hands at 200 for one, a Wild Royal about every 10,300 hands at 100 for one, a Straight Flush every 1,700 hands at 50 for one, and quads every 118 hands at 17 for one.

Yes, and has BD and you other guys have pointed out with nice detail there are a lot of tricky holds. Fun game, but not the best one to play. Thanks again to the gang. I happen to enjoy it. On the rare days where even this game goes quadless without even better hands, I am finished unless I cash out before bankroll is gone and switch to something else and or take a break. There have been days where I do this and am maybe down to 300 bucks from a 1500 bankroll, come back only at the halves or dollar level and hit a hot one even with the same gane. You just never know.
Thanks again to jstark, BD, and New 2vp, and of course my bud Ted for his sense of humor sometimes even wackier than mine, though I guess that’s debateable. Speaking of which, after all of these years, I figured out how tobpost pictures, but have tet to figure out how to post links.

The only time I make a bet on this game is picking off plays on UX. And unless it's an obvious play, many times I plug the dealt hand into a hand calculator to get the correct play.

Scored one of those rare 5 oaks after a few minutes of play on the website.

olds, with me being a fan of ACJP I can completely understand your talk of famine while playing this game. There have been several occasions where I have been dealt a straight flush on 10 play and this pulled me out of deep holes.
