Super Times Pay Wheel Poker

Post by daabearz »

Does anyone know the payback for this game, specifically for the Bonus Poker play?

Bonus Poker 8/5 is 99.17%, and Super Times Pay (Bonus Poker) is 99.44%, but I can't find anywhere the payback for Super Times Pay Wheel Poker (Bonus Poker).

Multiplier and wheel probabilities are disclosed on the help screen. Maybe I'll try a calculation later.

I haven't seen this concept before. In other wheel poker games, you need a particular outcome to trigger a wheel spin. In this one, the STP feature which triggers randomly may award either a multiplier or lump-sum wheel spin prize payout. For example in Bonus Poker 3 play, a multiplier occurs 1 in 10.5 and a wheel spin 1 in 52. I guess that means for every 5 features, you'll get 4 multipliers and 1 spin.

This is a 10 coin game instead of 6 for original STP, so the feature is hugely impactful on return.

This is what I was wondering as well. How it comes up in the game, it seems to be how you describe it.
Reading the notes in the game, originally I thought it meant the spin was independent of multiplier feature. So I don't know.

That seems low, doesn't it?

Here's the feature triggering a wheel spin:

The wheel:

Weightings are not equal for all wedges.

I spun 700 on the wheel, and earned a total of 30 from the game, so my balance increased by 730.

I can't find my error. I'm getting 98.46%. Payback is the total of (a) 1x games + (b) multiplier games + (c) spins.

For every 100 games played, you wager 3000 coins.

(a) You get 88.5622 1x games x .9917 house edge x 15 bet units = 1317.4070 coins.

(b) You get 9.5147 x4.64 (avg multiplier) games x .9917 x 15 = 656.7267 coins.

(c) You get 1.9231 spins x 509.47 avg = 979.7618 coins.

Total payback is 2953.8955 / 3000 = 98.46%. Which must be wrong.

The (c) spins shouldn't be deducted from the total non-multiplied hands.

(a) should be 90.4853 1x games x .9917........

brining it to 99.42% by those calculations

Good catch!

I totally forgot that you also play at 1x when a wheel spin occurs.

I'll run the numbers for 5 and 10 play if you haven't already done so.

I've gone haywire again.

My calculated EVs are in blue on line 21, but they don't make sense.

Variants of a game are supposed to always increase the EV.
8/5 BP 0.9917%
Super Times Pay 8/5 BP 99.44%
Double Super Times Pay 8/5 BP 99.67%

So the Super Times Pay Wheel Poker should be at least 99.44%

what is "regular STP EV (source: WOO)" ?
