Should I keep the 2 pair or go for the As?  I'm new.

Just as important as the game you're playing is the paytable available. In fact, many different games are really just adjustments to the paytables.

For the most typical paytables you would hold two pair in JOB and Bonus Poker because they pay 2 for 1 on two pair. For Double Double Bonus you would hold just the aces because of the high return for quad aces and the fact two pair returns 1-1. This is also true of many other games with high returns for quad aces.

There are many software tools available that will answer any question like this one. WVP, FVP, VPW, winpoker, OptimumVP, vipoker are all good products and having one of them is essential to any serious VP player.

Check the Software Programs category from the main forum page for more information on some of these products or google them and read up until to find one you like. Several allow free downloads to try them out.

I like to play DDB and I always try to find at least a 9-5.  I have hit the four A's with a 2,3 or 4 twice, once for $2,000 on a $1.00 machine and once on a .025 machine.  I always keep the two AA's but I didn't know if I should keep a 2, 3 or 4 with it or just draw for the 4 AA's and hope a 2,3 or 4 comes up.  Thanks for your help!!!

I keep the AA and toss the others.  This limits your odds as you have tossed 3 of the kickers but 4 A is still $800 :)  What I have trouble with is staying pat with a full house of 2/3/4 its so tempting to go for the quad  put I'm sure thats the wrong play.
