Although it's still a couple of weeks away, on September 20 the guest on the radio show will be Mike Fields, vice president at videopoker.com.I plan to ask him about the new videopoker.com games that will be introduced at the G2E show next month. I also plan to ask him about the expiring Triple Play patent. I plan to ask him why the name Action Gaming was changed to videopoker.com. I also want to ask him about their general philosophy in designing new games and how their games are different from other video poker games. There will be room for at most one question about the website. I invite you to suggest questions to ask him although you have a much better chance of getting your question on the air if the question is not about the website. (Generally speaking, addressing website questions to Webman is a better source of accurate information than asking Fields the same question. Although Fields is way above Webman in the chain of command, the website is a very smart part of Fields' responsibilities and a significant part of Webman's responsibilities.) You can either post your questions here or email them to

The Mike Fields interview last night was interesting. We went over three new games that will be coming out soon, the Meet and Compete on October 1, and some of the philosophy behind videopoker.com games. We also had a lawyer talking about what happens if you leave credits on a machine and somebody comes by and cashes it out. I believe that most players who frequent this site will find this particular episode of the show worth listening to. The easiest way to download the show for free is at
www.bobdancer.com/radio.cfm and then click on the September 20 date. Bob

Bob, I would love to hear your show, but I can't. Any plans for closed caption or a written format?

When I want to play a machine and the person before me hasn't cashed out, I print the ticket and put it on top of the machine, just like I would if someone left their player's card. Someone else can scoop it up and cash it.I've never had this happen for more than about 35c. I think this has happened to me three times in the past week.It won't let me play without cashing out, and it's certainly not worth any hassles for pennies.

Although QDs comment may seem out of left field, this is one of the things we spoke about last week on the air. I once left $700 in credits --- and got the money back. Shirley once was cashing out a $5 machine in the coin-dropper days and left when all the coins were racked. What she didn't notice was that there were still $500 in credits on the machine when the machine ran out of coins. The next day the bartender told us and gave us the money. Not all of our experiences have been so positive. Bob
