Road Trip Strategy

Only 10 days left until our next Video Poker road trip. We'll be flying into Denver and staying in Black Hawk for a couple of days before heading over to Wendover, NV. I checked VPFree2.com and it seems they have much better quarter pay tables out west than we are used to in Florida. Because of this, I'm going to junk my one coin strategy and go for the Royal. I have a weird track record of hitting a Royal when I play at a new casino for the first time, so I'm going to play as much 9/6 Jacks as I can stand. They have some 99.73% deuces also. I know I can still lose, but at least my money may last a little longer.

So far the strategy is working. I hit a $1,000 quad deuce the first night in Black Hawk, My wife hit a Royal the second night and another one in West Wendover Nevada a couple of days later. Yesterday I hit a 4AwKicker and 3 sets of 2s all with kickers. We are having a ball and driving down to Durango CO to check out the Skyute Casino Resort. Cripple Creek is next!

The Skyute Casino Resort in Durango turned out to be a bust. Nice Indian Casino Resort, but the Video Poker odds were even worse than in Florida. This place is the poster child for "Rigged Video Poker Machines" if there is such a thing?
Wife did OK and hasn't lost any money from her Royals yet. We're driving up to Cripple Creek for the day and then plan to finish our trip in Black Hawk, Can't say enough good things about Black Hawk. We love it!
