Hi - new to the forum
quick silly question - just hit 4 quads twice in 38 hands - marvellous...however I beleive the odds of obtaining four of a kind is in the region of 1 / 423
because we have two quads in succession do the overall odds change ? is it still 1 / 423 or is it now 700 + hands ?
maths and probability wasn't my forte .......

thanks
pete

In video poker, what's happened in the past does not affect the future.  It doesn't matter that you've just hit one or two quads;  the probability of getting one in the next hand remains at 1/423.

Just means someone else hit all the dud hands before you came along and hit the quads!
