DougJ, I have made several posts over the years about players who may think that something is wrong when they are losing but are these same people thinking that there is something wrong when they are winning? This goes along with what olds wrote regarding longer cold streaks and stronger compressed win cycles.
I can't speak for other players. Others may have similar observations about cycles on "new" machines, just like I do, except others may reach different conclusions than I do about what we are seeing.
I do not think something is "wrong" when I am losing (i.e. "it's rigged!"), nor do I think something is "wrong" when I am winning.
I am identifying where it is in the string, and adjusting accordingly.
In my last 3 VP sessions, for example, I'm up significantly....sessions each about one hour. Maybe my prior 3 sessions before those necessitated longer play, due to my place in the string. It's not hard to know where I am at. Sometimes, I leave within 10 minutes and go home, its not worth my time
Don't care about comps, and hurting my average theo... as I've said many times, I dont want casino kitsch, or crappy "free" food (especially now where Vegas restaurant choices are limited).

I'd have hoped the old dog might have learned a new trick but just more of the same nonsense. This is the poker side. Kindly keep your garbage in the angry white man portion of the forum.
Thanks, I needed a good laugh. Same old nonsense from the renter.

Heh, heh, similar homes in my Vegas neighborhood selling for 40% more than I paid three years ago. That's selling price, not asking price. :D ;)
He keeps mentioning "angry white men",maybe some undercurrent of ................ (edited for content).
projecting! favorite tactic of liberals.

This 1000 percent.

On these newer machines you either hit right away or not at all.

You shouldn’t have to sit at a machine for 3 hours to hit a single four of a kind. It’s a 1 in 400 event. 1 in 800 if you are on the wrong side of variance. On these newer machines I’ve personally witnessed spells of 5000 plus hands without a single four of a kind.

The problem with the newer machines is once you get up after playing for 3 hours without a single four of a kind someone else sits down and proceeds to hit several in a span of 20 mins. Not random at all. It’s the programming compensating in order to even out the payout percentage.

At Aliante they used to have 100 percent VP 10/6 DDB started at nickel denom and went up to 50 cents. I literally lost $400 on nickel Denom (25 cents per hand, in 3 hours) did not get a single 4 OAK. Statically that seems impossible. It would be the equivalent of spending 2 grand on quarter Denom on a full pay machine without a single 4 OAK. On that session I hit hardly any flushes or fullhouses either. The machine was defying the odds.

These newer machines almost play like a slot. You know eventually you lose enough the machine will spit out a few wins to compensate for the losses.

Knowing this I play for 15 mins tops. If I hit nothing I leave.

. . . .
My guy has an MBA, is a certified tax planned and has a fiduciary responsibility to me. . . . .
Some people repeatedly prove they know nothing.

The "my guy" above is not a CPA. Huge difference in terms of education AND qualifications. Plus, congratulations that you think he "has a fiduciary responsibility to me." As for the MBA, a dime a dozen, plenty of online crap out there to score a piece of paper to hang on the wall.
No wonder you are forced to live in your RV full time . .

Yes, that's the ticket. I'm forced to live on 250 acres of unspoiled land, while you are lucky enough to live in North Las Vegas. I mean, who doesn't want to live in North Las Vegas? Besides everyone who has ever been there.

A quick google search shows North Las Vegas has has more crime than 96% of the state and the chances of a resident being the victim of a violent crime is one in thirty two. Great place to raise a family. But at least it is affordable. How many years until your place is paid off?
It's not like there isn't crime here. Last month a javelina trashed my garbage and jackrabbits are constantly raiding the garden.

Hilarious. I've never said where I live, but it's not north Las Vegas, no matter how much you want it to be, to justify that you bought a derelict building with a defunct bakery and are forced to live in your RV because you couldn't afford to buy a home here in Vegas (nor there in AZ).
Vegas ate you up, and spit you out, and you're bitter because you were led astray by the "math" and by "my guy."

Lalalalalala. ;)
