I only play $2 and $5 if I am already ahead and usually when I am on a roll. I don't limit myself to having quads/straight flushes/royals. For DDB, as you know, a full house on a $2 machine is $90. For a $5 machine a full house is $225. For perspective $90 is 72% of a common quad on a .50 machine. $225 is 9/10 of a common quad on a $1 machine. If I am hitting full houses and/or flushes/straights regularly and I am ahead I will sometimes push it up a denom or two and see if my luck holds. The last time I hit a streak I was up an additional $450 in very little time. The key is recognizing when the streak ends so you can pocket the profit or lower your rate back to where you were. A disciplined stop is also key. For example 2 losses in a row on $5 will stop $5 play. It takes 3 losses in a row on $2 to stop.

I know that previous results do NOT affect current plays/hands but I am streaky and know how my luck runs a bit in the 25 years or so I have been playing VP.

The problem is how do you know when a streak starts....and ends.
Learn to play machines for the odds, not for streaks.

If you’re unsure about anything then you play the lowest denomination available ex(.05) at the best pay table. Once you’ve mastered that, then you seek out $5 or 2$ vp and go after it.

Thanks for the info, I used to live in Vegas 3 times, twice in Reno. I remember even if I was almost broke I would hit the specified $1 VP Machines and play a buck a hand on the double double...youd be surprised how many times I'd hit a 4 Of a kind to get myself back in check, but I had that quick motion flow I was taught by the best VP player I ever witnessed, so I could ,at that time, hit any given casino with 10 bucks and battle a quarter machine for 12 hrs...give or take according how lit I was for the battle....Seems , as I can remember, the last time I was in Vegas it was the tightest ive ever seen it. Hard to win, same when I left Reno in 2008...And i remember the Casino bots that could stand behind you and drain your winnings with their mind making the machine suck you down in a constant swirling loss until you're broke. Those would piss me off and at that time I could show you which ones they were...Wish I had more good memories than bad. Look for pros, watch and learn..even now after all I've been thru, I have to start over....I hope I can get my flow back..
Anyone know the best Casino in Atlantic City? I'm going there in 2 weeks
..Tell me something I don't know...What would you try to come up on with $500?

So as a summary , 5$ DDB is a goodplay ? Or variance too big , I been getting destroyed with zero winning session for 8 sessions . Down 22 k

Not enough info to determine if it's a good "play." It's a risky play unless you have a huge bankroll.

Read the first post completely... % return, cash back, and your bankroll are going to be very important here. If you're already down 22k, I would stop now until you have a clear understanding of these things.

Eduardo is correct.

First thing to consider is pay schedule. 9/6 DDB returns a tad under 99%. (lower pay schedules are virtually never worth playing --- for any stakes)

Do you know what the slot club pays? Mailers? Promotions?

You're going to get W2Gs every 400 hands or so (all quads, SF, RF) on average. This has significant tax implications and the rules have changed over what they were a few years ago. If you itemize, it's not such a big change, but the standard deduction is different so fewer people are itemizing these days.

Being down $22K is no big deal in this game. It's just one royal. But if your actual or financial bankroll can't handle a swing like that, avoid the game.

DDB is a game of "moderate - to high" volatility. You will have big swings. If you can't handle them, don't play.

Finally, it hasn't been mentioned yet, but what is your accuracy level? 9/6 DDB returns 98.98% ONLY if you play accurately. Most people don't. This turns a 99% game into a 98% game or lower. Software to practice on is available --- and a necessity if you wish to learn to play well.

My bankroll is 200 k , and I can stand swings but I’m practicing everyday now . So if I want to strictly just coin in 50 k each casino , is it best to play 5 play ( 5 lines )5$ JOB 9/6 rather than single line $25 right ?

Yes. If you bet same wager per deal and play 5 play, the variance is about 1/5 of the single play assuming you are playing same pay table. However the odds are same.
